Boston's Emerson College has instructed students living in halls of residence on campus to stay in their rooms apart from eating, collecting mail or to get tested for covid-19. The new rules come into force on January 3rd and apply to all students even if they have been fully vaccinated including receiving their booster shots. The college hopes that the 'stay in room directive' will help curb the spread of the omicron variant of the coronavirus. 'The campus will operate in a 'stay in room directive' through January 18.(Snip)Students should avoid any large gatherings and not leave campus or their residence except for those situations listed above,'

Comments:

How well do the shots not work? It's inexplicable, given that there are no unvaccinated/unboosted people around, who our previous president says are responsible for the ongoing pandemic.

Common sense tells us that the Chinese omicron is at most a flu. Can it kill? Sure, in elderly people or people in bad health but the seasonal flu (which for some strange reason doesn’t seem to exist anymore) kills those at risk and has done so for hundreds of years. We are being scammed by the very people who claim they want to protect us. Now, the vaccinated are the ones catching this stuff and apparently the main spreaders. Go figure. FU Tony.

New Jersey public schools could be required to infuse the history of Asian American and Pacific Islanders into their curriculum beginning with the 2022-23 school year. A bill that would make it mandatory for inclusion in K-12 curriculum statewide cleared both houses in the State Legislature this month and awaits action by Gov. Phil Murphy. New Jersey would become the second state to require it (Illinois is the first), and similar bills are being considered in eight other states.(Snip)Advocates fast-tracked the measure in response to a spike in hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders since the beginning of the pandemic.
