Joe Biden Promises U.N Climate Summit:
I Will ‘Remake’ American Economy to
Lead World to ‘Net-Zero’

President Joe Biden promised the United Nations COPS26 Climate Summit on Monday he would remake the American economy, abandoning carbon based fossil fuels and focusing on renewable energy. The president spoke to the summit after struggling to stay awake for the opening remarks from world leaders about the importance of addressing the issue of global warming. Biden said he was planing “a marathon” for the United States economy that would “transform the largest economy in the world into a thriving, innovative, equitable, and just clean energy engine of net zero for a net-zero world.”

Bingo #17, bingo. I was talking with my grown kids about this just yesterday. Those idiot communists have no idea what they will have wrought when our energy sources have been strangled into oblivion. Imagine no heat in anyones house in the winter. None. How long do they think their babies and small children will survive under those conditions. The smallest respiratory infection is a death sentence. Meat and milk can’t be kept, if it can even be found. Advanced medicine, forget it. It can’t even be manufactured much less kept. I could go on and on, since I’ve read a little history, unlike those idiots, but we at least know what the future will be like if their policies reach fulfillment. Those stupid, idiot people don’t. I’m just appalled at such stupid, grinding ignorance out of professed leaders and thinkers. They truly don’t understand that it takes everything we’ve got, right now, to keep the number of people we have, alive and healthy.

Republican Glenn Youngkin was declared the winner of the Virginia gubernatorial race by a number of outlets and election analysts on Tuesday night after a hard-fought campaign that he entered as a significant underdog. Despite trailing former governor Terry McAulife by as much as six and a half points in the RealClearPolitics polling average as late as the last week of August, Youngkin ultimately triumphed thanks to a hyper-focus on local issues and a commitment to walking the line between Trump supporters in rural, southern Virginia and wealthier suburbanites who were alienated by the MAGA wing of the party. We’ve been talking about the upset in Virginia and what looks like a red wave sweeping through that state, at this point, with the top seats all being called for the Republicans. But that’s not the only race that could be an upset. A bigger upset may be underway in New Jersey — my former deep deep blue state. There was no way that anyone would predict that Jack Ciattarelli could even come close to Gov. Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe said Tuesday night that he will not yet concede the election as major news outlets have called the election for Republican Glenn Youngkin. Major news outlets have reported that political outsider Youngkin will defeat McAuliffe in the Virginia gubernatorial election, marking a drastic transformation for Republicans ahead of the pivotal 2022 midterm elections. However, even though Youngkin is poised to win the election, McAuliffe said Virginia should count all of the votes before declaring a winner. “So, we still got a lot of votes to count, we have about 18 percent of the vote out,” McAuliffe said. He emphasized that “every single

Democrats analyzed Virginia Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin’s election victory over former Democrat Gov. Terry McAuliffe on Tuesday. NBC and MSNBC’s political analyst Julian Castro suggested Democrats lost because the media was not effectively controlling the “narrative.” “Youngkin has shown Republicans that they can launder dog whistles through huge unregulated platforms, driving base turnout—even while distancing from Trump,” he said. Richard Signorelli insinuated the election was lost due to “Trumpism.” “The only way to defeat Trumpism is to hold him & his accomplices accountable for their federal/state criminality STAT,” he claimed.Larry Sabato, a professor of Politics at the University of Virginia, told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow the race turned into a “bloodbath.”

Former President Donald Trump mockingly credited Democrat Terry McAuliffe with turning out “MAGA voters” in Virginia for Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin, who held a solid lead Tuesday with 85 percent of precincts reporting. McAuliffe and top backers, including President Biden, sought to make the vote about the Trump, who lost the state by 10 points last year. But the race was widely seen as a referendum on Biden’s performance. “It is looking like Terry McAuliffe’s campaign against a certain person named ‘Trump’ has very much helped Glenn Youngkin,” Trump said in an email blast.

Republican Glenn Youngkin won the Virginia gubernatorial race by what appears to be a comfortable margin. Here are five quick takeaways. 1. If this race is a bellwether for 2022, next year will be a monster landslide for Republicans. Joe Biden won Virginia last year by 10.1 points. And the previous Republican gubernatorial nominee, four years ago, lost by 8.9 points. In fact, until Tuesday, no Republican had won anything statewide in Virginia since 2009. Yet now, the old conventional wisdom—that Virginia is a blue state—has to be retired. Youngkin seems to have shifted the vote by a dozen or more points, from minus 10 points to plus a few.

Voters in Minnesota's largest city have rejected what would have been an unprecedented move to dismantle the police department at the ballot box Tuesday following calls for reform following the death of George Floyd. The measure asked voters if they favored amending the city's charter to replace the Minneapolis Police Department with a Department of Public Safety. The initiative would have removed language from the charter related to the agency, including minimum funding requirements, and would have divided control of public safety between the mayor and City Council. It would have essentially removed power from the mayor and police chief in an effort to re-imagine policing.

Though the federal government and private companies have both tried to find solutions to the supply chain crisis, bottlenecks and inflation aren't going away, says the Biden Administration — at least while COVID-19 is still around. According to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, the supply chain crisis is the result of myriad factors tied directly to the ongoing pandemic. Vice President Kamala Harris visited New York City Monday, touring John F. Kennedy International Airport as part of an effort to see how climate action can create jobs. “To meet our climate commitment, we must, we must, I say to my fellow Americans, put in the work,” she said. Harris was joined at JFK Airport by Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, as they touted two new initiatives aimed at reducing greenhouse gases. “First, a new partnership between our government and private companies to drive innovation in electric heat pumps,” Harris said. Later she participated in a celebration marking the 30th anniversary of the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network.

White House National Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy said Tuesday morning that President Joe Biden was 'wide awake' after he was seemingly caught snoozing during a session at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow Monday afternoon. 'When I saw the president yesterday, he wasn't just wide awake, but he was really on fire,' she told Morning Joe's Mika Brzezinski without prompting. 'He's really excited to have the United States in action here in Glasgow.' Brzezinski didn't ask McCarthy directly about the video of Biden that went viral, where he looked to be dozing off as one speaker underscored the importance of taking action on climate change.
