Joe Biden Has a Very Quirky Notion of Freedom

Original Article

In the recent Townhall sponsored by CNN, Joe Biden was asked about Policemen and other First Responders who are not vaccinated. Should they be mandated to get the vaccine and if they refuse should they be told to remain at home or be let go? Biden responds: “Yes and yes. (applause) … Look, the two things that concern me: one are (sic) those who just try to make this a political issue. Freedom. I have the freedom to kill you with my Covid. (applause) No, I mean c’mon.” Then, with a dismissive sneer, “Freedom.” Love his criticism of those making this a political issue.

Comments:

He took an oath to "uphold and protectthe Constitution," yet he disagrees with its most basic premises of freedom.

By now, we should realize that the leftist in control have two levels of freedom and "justice", one for them and a different one for the rest of the country.

His comments have to be among the most egregious and frightening words ever uttered by an American “president”… (cough, gag, cough). Let’s’s go, Brandon.

The Wall Street Journal published a single slide from an internal Facebook file purporting to measure “trust” in news publishers on the platform, but the source who passed it to the newspaper included no details about the methodology used to collect the data, which users were surveyed, or who conducted the survey. The slide shows a graph with news publishers dotted around in four quadrants: “false negatives, “true negatives,” “false positives,” and “true positives,” although there is scant explanation of what each of these categories mean.

Any failure by the Cop26 summit in Glasgow to deliver an agreement on future trans-national climate controls could plunge the world into chaos, sparking migration crises alongside food shortages, political disorder and war, the U.N.’s top climate official warned Sunday. Patricia Espinosa, executive secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, made her bleak prediction ahead of the opening of the convention on November 1.As some 30,000 people from 197 different countries ready to fly in to the meeting, she warned: We’re really talking about preserving the stability of countries,

Some of them do admit that — when they’re cornered. I’m thinking of Dan Crenshaw being confronted by an election truther at a fundraiser in August and telling the guy that he was kidding himself if he believed there was such widespread fraud that it flipped the result in multiple states. There’s a cohort of hardcore populists within the House GOP whose loyalty to Trump is such that they’ll eagerly parrot any conspiracy theory he likes but most GOP reps who are asked about this tend to mumble something noncommittal about “election integrity” and “unanswered questions” before changing the subject.

It’s truly pathetic that this case has dragged on this long. It has been two years and 9 months since the alleged attack took place (January 2019). Smollett was named a suspect in his own “attack” on February 20. He was indicted by a grand jury with 16 felonies but, lucky for him, State’s Attorney Kim Foxx decided to drop all of the charges.Foxx has claimed ever since that Smollett’s case wasn’t unusual but her office never was able to point to a similar instance where a hoax that ate up this much time and resources was given a slap on the wrist.

On Saturday, October 9th, a bar in the capital city of Saint Paul was the scene of chaos, fear, and death. Two gunmen began exchanging gunfire, leaving one innocent female patron dead and over a dozen wounded. It has received scant coverage in Saint Paul and none outside of the metro area. I doubt most Minnesotans are aware, let alone others in this country. It brings me no joy to note that both shooters (more on them in a moment) were black and the deceased was black. Of course, it fully explains why the propagandist American media is disinterested in the story.

White House chief of staff Ron Klain is spreading the lie that inflation and the supply chain snarl are “high class problems,” which means we’re lucky to have them. On Wednesday, some Harvard idiot (excuse me for repeating myself) named Jason Furman tweeted, “Most of the economic problems we’re facing (inflation, supply chains, etc.) are high class problems. We wouldn’t have had them if the unemployment rate was still 10 percent.” He added that “We would instead have had a much worse problem.” Klain heartily agreed.

Global food prices have reached a decade high and increased for the second month in a row in September, according to a Thursday report from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The FAO Food Price Index (FFPI), which measures the monthly change in international prices of a basket of food commodities, averaged 130.0 points in September 2021 — that rate is 32.1 points higher than the same month last year and up 1.5 points from August. The FFPI has not reached these levels since 2011 when it hit 131.9.The increase was largely spurred by “tightening supply conditions and robust demand for staples such as wheat and palm oil,” the FAO reported.

New Zealand´s central bank raised interest rates for the first time in more than seven years on Wednesday, removing some of the support it put in place when the coronavirus pandemic began. The Reserve Bank raised the benchmark rate to 0.5% from a record low 0.25%.The move came despite an ongoing lockdown in Auckland, its largest city, due to a coronavirus outbreak. The bank said the lockdown had badly affected some Auckland businesses but a broad range of indicators pointed to New Zealand´s economy performing strongly overall. It said inflation was expected to rise to 4% in the short term before easing to 2% in the medium term.

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Yasmin Vossoughian Reports,” Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) argued that the $3.5 trillion price tag for the Build Back Better Act reconciliation package “is a modest investment” for an economy the size of America’s. Torres said, “[T]here’s misconception about the price tag of the Build Back Better Act. The Build Back Better Act, the original draft, it is not 3.5 trillion over the course of a year. It’s over the course of ten years. So, it’s $350 billion. Which, for a $20 trillion economy like ours, is a modest investment. So, I think it’s shortsighted to focus on the price tag.”

But before we get to their brilliance as athletes – and yes, they are not only athletic, they are extraordinarily so – let’s review some other aspects of our 2021 Ryder Cup Team for which we should all be proud.

On Friday, Joe Biden met with Pope Francis at the Vatican. Mysteriously, the TV feed was abruptly cut off by officials, and video of Biden speaking with the Pope never made it to viewers. I did happen to see Jack Posobiec’s tweet about the incident on Friday, but I had since long forgotten about it. Biden is making waves on social media again but for all the wrong reasons. Many are wondering whether there is any truth to rumors that Biden had a “bathroom incident” during his meeting with the Pope at the Vatican, causing the hashtag #poopypantsbiden to trend on Twitter.

NEW YORK — Health officials on Friday offered more evidence that vaccinations offer better protection against COVID-19 than immunity from a prior infection. Unvaccinated people who had been infected months earlier were 5 times more likely to get COVID-19 than fully vaccinated people who didn’t have a prior infection, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concluded in a new study. “These data show, pretty strongly, that the vaccines are more protective against symptomatic COVID,” said Dr. Mike Saag, an infectious disease expert at the University of Alabama. The Council on American-Islamic Relations is reporting a new high in the bullying of Muslim children in California public, charter and non-Islamic private schools. In a statewide survey of 708 Muslim students aged 11 to 18 years old, 55% reported “feeling unsafe, unwelcome or uncomfortable at school because of their Muslim identity,” the highest level in five such reports since the biennial study began in 2013, CAIR-CA reported. Hussam Ayloush, head of the civil rights group’s California chapter, told The Washington Times that the results confirm American Muslims have “faced growing challenges due to Islamophobia” in popular culture and public hate crimes during the past 20 years
