The Ryder Cup, a biennial competition between the twelve best golfers from America and Europe, was won by the United States yesterday. It was a dominant and historic win, with the U.S. scoring an unprecedented nineteen points; a remarkable performance by the most likeable group of golfers we’ve seen in ages. But before we get to their brilliance as athletes – and yes, they are not only athletic, they are extraordinarily so – let’s review some other aspects of our 2021 Ryder Cup Team for which we should all be proud.

What a fantastic performance it was. USA! USA! USA!

And they were universally silent over the rot and dysfunction destroying their Country. And no doubt most of them will go to the White House in service to the Stalinist media. So I'm supposed to be excited because they didn't willfully slander their Country?

I really don't understand the Ryder Cup. It's basically the U.S vs. the rest of the world, and I don't get why this is done, or needed. It's probably why I've never really been into the Ryder Cup. It really serves no purpose other than to divide. During any other golf tournament the winner is cheered by everyone no matter what country they're from. So for me, the Ryder Cup takes all the fun out of watching golf.

As a golfer myself I have almost always proud of my sport. Grew up watching Jack (GOAT), Arne, Watson, Miller, Crenshaw etc. everyone a true sportsman! Never bought into the Tiger Marketing Machine but he was a fabulous player! Golf is a gentleman’s game where one calls penalties on ourselves! Very proud of Steve Striker and the team he assembled!

Division is something the Left preaches, but the Ryder is intended to foster friendly competition between the USA and the rest of the world. The Right knows that honorable battle on the field(of play) is preferable to dishonorable battle on the field of death. Therefore, we support the Team, and the rest of the season we support the PLAYER. As Americans, regardless of nation of origin. But to be totally honest? I prefer it when an American wins.

I don't know if this is standard at golf tournaments (I'm not really a golf fan) but from what I saw of the event, everyone looked like they were having a great time. The wild patriotic costumes some of the fans wore were great, including the European fan's tailormade EU flag suit. The best non-golf highlight came on Day 1, the American fans singing the National Anthem at daybreak.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) reaped a whirlwind of criticism this past week when she attempted to explain her “present” vote for a bill that would allot funds to Israel’s Iron Dome defense system. Following the vote, which passed the House 420-9, AOC characterized herself as a victim in a lengthy letter in which she confessed to crying over the “complete lack of regard I often feel our party has to its most vulnerable and endangered members.”

In addition to the 20,000 Haitians gathered in northern Colombia, DHS is also monitoring groups of about 1,500 in Panama and 3,000 in Peru, the document said.

NBC political director Chuck Todd said Sunday that President Joe Biden appeared to be facing down “pretty big credibility crisis.” Todd spoke with fellow MSNBC host Willie Geist on “Sunday Today” to discuss the political news of the day, from the growing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border to reports confirming that a U.S. drone strike had killed an Afghan aid worker and his family rather than the intended ISIS-K operators. Geist mentioned those issues along with the FDA’s announcement recommending COVID-19 booster shots for only those at high risk or over 65, despite Biden’s plan to make boosters available for everyone by September.

McConnell told Punchbowl News that Republicans will not help the Democrat-controlled Congress raise the debt ceiling, which is required for the government to continue operating alongside a bill to fund the government. The leading Senate Republican said that Democrats have the onus of raising the debt ceiling:

The latest Golden/TIPP poll shows that nearly two-thirds (63 percent) of Americans believe the Biden administration’s way of withdrawing from Afghanistan was a mistake. Biden’s botched withdrawal ended with the deaths of 13 U.S servicemembers and many wounded, along with hundreds of Americans still trapped in the Taliban-controlled country. The poll asked respondents, “Please indicate the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement: The way the Biden Administration executed the withdrawal from Afghanistan was a mistake.”

I ask this question for two reasons: I have seen enough videos and read about enough officer-civilian interactions to know that the act of subduing a lethal threat requires several rounds. If an intruder entered my home and threatened my wife and child, I would shoot until I was able to ensure the target was immobilized. As to the first statement, there are plenty of examples of police officers firing multiple shots at a suspected threat. In the past year, the American public has been thoroughly able to parse through the shootings of criminals like Breonna Taylor and Antonio Brown, to name just two examples.

A common term we use to describe certain folks is ‘Cafeteria Catholics,’ with the most easily identifiable being politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and Andrew Cuomo. For issues with which they agree, they hold up Catholic beliefs and cite doctrine to support their political points of view, while simultaneously dismissing the Church’s philosophy regarding subjects with which they disagree.
