The mayor of St. Louis did not flinch during a press conference when gunfire erupted nearby, saying she was unfortunately used to it. Mayor Tishaura Jones was speaking to the press on Friday about her and Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas' efforts to reduce violent crime following a roundtable discussion about public safety when what sounded like gunfire went off nearby. But Jones did not miss a beat and sarcastically responded 'Oh isn't that wonderful,' before getting back to the topic at hand.(Snip)'Well I hear gunshots in my neighborhood every night,' she said. This reminds me of something that happened where I grew up. A church caught on fire almost directly behind the house where I was living. Turned out the roof of the church was very flammable sending flames thirty feet into the air. Big fire. While all the fire and police people were at the fire, gun shots started ringing out a few blocks away from a high crime area. They knew no police were around. Same thing (different circumstance) in St. Louis.

St. Louis is a dangerous place just as is Chicago and the other inner cities run by leftist and socialist Democrats. But occurring at the exact time the Mayor of St. Louis was standing on the street speaking about “gun violence” with the Mayor of Kansas City, chances are that those four firearms discharges did not occur through happenstance, but smell of a partisan and purposeful attempt to further “gin up” and publicized attention to that Mayor’s “gun violence” comments .
