Navy must speed up shipbuilding, modernization
to keep pace with China, Russia at sea,
analysts say

China and Russia have dramatically accelerated their naval shipbuilding and modernization programs in recent years, while the U.S. has struggled to improve its own capacity for warfighting missions and been tagged with a poor readiness rating from national security analysts. The Chinese have made particularly notable strides, engaging in a maritime buildup that made global headlines a year ago when Pentagon officials sounded the alarm that Beijing’s total fleet roughly 350 warships had surpassed the roughly 300 maintained by Washington.(Snip)“They’ve got a lot of shipyards and a lot of capacity,” says Brent Sadler, a retired U.S. naval officer and analyst with the Heritage Foundation. “They’re building lots of ships.”

Comments:

The mission of the USA is to combat climate change and White supremacy in all its forms, to promote LGBTQ+, and to import the world's huddled masses and provide them with first-world accommodations courtesy of the taxpayer. Funding a military on top of this would break the bank, which is probably the idea, the same way the Soviet Union collapsed, but in reverse, with us adopting Marxism in full.

In any real war normal surface ships can tracked by satellite and would be easy targets probably taken out in the first few days. Our fewer new ships are stealth which as with air planes, is a force multiplier.

Dems will NOT permit it. Trillions for handouts to illegal aliens but nothing for our defense. And anyway, the fools with stars on their shoulders in place now won't be able to order, or operate effective designs. My niece, a USMC officer's wife, told my on video link last night from Japan that she knew several LTCOLs with 17 and 18 years service who were being tossed out for not taking the vaccine. They are literally destroying the military, and our emergency services folks with this Death Lottery Shot.

Tossing out the good men is a great way to degrade the entire miliary. Men and women who are smart enough not to buy a lottery ticket on health problems being sold as a "vaccine" are being drummed out. So...short on troops, and some of our best and brightest unwilling to compromise to take The Shot being fired. Yep, Traitor Joe is doing the bidding of the ChiComs and Rooskies. Dismantling our armed forces, as ordered.

Agree with all the above posters. Why build new ships when the OOD will crash them into another ship with loss of life then we have two ships written off because they have been turned into hulks due to fire. But what the hay, tops in world in diversity and stabbing our allies in the back. That's what counts.

Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine increases a person's risk of developing rare blood clots, a new study suggests. Researchers from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, compared data from the general population before the pandemic to data gathered from reported vaccine side-effects suffered by Americans. They found that a person who received the vaccine was 3.5 times as likely to develop brain blood clots as an average person before the pandemic. Blood clotting, and specifically cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is a well known side-effect of the J&J vaccine, and the discovery of this risk was the reason usage of the vaccine was paused in April.
