Just as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pushed back on the idea that lawmakers should not be able to make individual stock trades while in office, her husband Paul bought shares in Google's parent company Alphabet, Disney and Salesforce worth millions.
'We're a free market economy,' Pelosi told reporters during a news conference on Dec. 15. 'They [lawmakers] should be able to participate in that.'(Snip)Paul Pelosi has proven himself a prolific stock trader, so much so that social investing app Iris allows users to track their trades and be notified every time he makes a purchase so that they can do the same.

Seems the rest of us can also participate in The Free Market by mimicking the fully independent trades made by Paul Pelosi, if we act quickly enough. FTA: "Paul Pelosi has proven himself a prolific stock trader, so much so that social investing app Iris allows users to track their trades and be notified every time he makes a purchase so that they can do the same. 'Every single stock she [Pelosi, through her husband] has bought in the last two years has gone up significantly,' Christopher Josephs, cofounder of Iris, told Yahoo.
And popular Twitter account @NancyTracker, which tracked Pelosi's investments, was banned from the social media network."

I'm pretty sure Paul Pelosi didn't get to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars by selling whirligigs on a street corner.

She aint in politics for nuthin.
She nor any of the rest of 'em.
No one spends the money they spend to get elected without expecting a big return.
Most are not there to help the country. Most are there to help themselves.
Any help the country gets is a gift, a bonus, something unplanned that just worked out that way.
Better a sister in a whorehouse than a corrupt politician in the Congress.
Nancy is right at the top of the list for corruption, the only one who might surpass her is Maxine Waters.

It is to the point now that their corruption is out in the open, and they just don't care anymore whether we know it or not.

The Pelosis might be the greatest free market traders to ever exist. PIAPS' cattle futures pale by comparison to the investment acumen of Nanzi.

California is a community-property state, Drew. She owns 50% of them.

You play a rigged game Pelosi, and so do your spouses who participate in the Market as well. Used to be that nobody could use insider information, and if a member of congress was caught at it, they had to resign, and usually faced legal trouble. Now thanks to the corruptocrats of congress, they can use insider information to make their purchases, and the average citizen cannot.

'We're a free market economy,' Pelosi told reporters:
Except when it comes to taxes and public expenditure to advance our purely political purposes. Then your money: it belongs to the IRS.

Pelosi's gods are money and power. Bad choice, given that she does not have many years left.

The market by definition is not "free" when you're dealing on insider information, in this case playing in a rigged casino. They're all in it, so it's okay. Free money for them, a lifetime of toil and inflation for the rest of us.
