The Biden administration struck a $137 million deal to build a new factory in the U.S. to ramp up production of COVID-19 testing kits–but the new facility won't be completed until late 2024 at the earliest. MilliporeSigma, a brand formed by Germany’s Merck KGaA, will build a new factory in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the Defense Department announced as the U.S. hit a high record of 489,267 COVID cases on Wednesday. While the contract gives the company three years to complete the facility, it is not immediately clear when it will ramp up to full production, which is expected to pump out 83.3 million tests per month.

But we'll all be dead by then.

Three years to begin to produce the test kits, in Germany? Guess there are no factories in the US. Once made, the kit will probably be stuck on ships offshore for another few months waiting to be offloaded. It won't matter by then anyway, because according to Fauci, we all all have died in the Covid Blizzard this winter, have turned into brin eating zombies due to Covid, or most likely, Covid will have mutated away to less than a cold and there will be an over the counter treatment for it and the Covid worry will be over. Bidens Test Kit response is a typical bureaucratic response. Offer the response that takes the longest nd is the least responsive to the need for which the response is being given. He should have just turned it over to a private/public partnership like Trump did. We would have all of the test kits we needed by next week made here in the USA.

#21 is correct. More taxpayer money p****d away. What's the big deal about getting tested if you have no symptoms? I can see if you have a cold and don't want to infect an elderly relative, but there are people waiting in line for hours in Atlanta just to be tested. I bought a couple of tests from Amazon just to have on hand in case we got sick. If positive, I will start the ivermectin. No way would I use the "free" test that the feds are supposedly going to mail out. I don't want them gathering information on me, and that will be exactly what the government will do.
