Procter And Gamble To Raise Prices Of
Popular Goods Citing Increasing Transportation
And Material Costs

Procter and Gamble said Tuesday it is raising prices on a variety of popular home goods due to a sharp increase in freight transportation and raw materials costs. The company behind Tide detergent and Gillette razors announced it would increase prices for beauty, oral care and grooming products, like razors, according to The Wall Street Journal. Procter and Gamble (P&G) announced in July that it would charge more for consumer staples like diapers and toilet paper. P&G anticipates that the price increase, coupled with high product demand, will offset the increased costs of transportation and raw materials, according to the WSJ.

Comments:

And the domino effect continues. Inflation is here to stay, and it's going to get worse.

Of course they will. They, the shippers (raw materials in - finished product out), and the distributors/retailers, can't absorb the 6% increase in fuel that occurred today...and that may not have been factored in yet.

According to Petey B this is because we are all doing so well financially that we’re buying up goods faster than they can be delivered to stores and warehouses. Anyone who believes that is as stupid as the secretary of transportation and his boss. Will these increases affect Dr Jill and her family? The Pelosi family? The Schumer family? They lead glorified, seemingly untouchable lives. This is all thanks to the moron in the White House and his dumber than rocks administration.

And they are cheap too. My story: I use P&G's Gain, have never had a problem with pulling the little zipper and opening the box. Now there is a little zipper only on one end and nothing else that I can see to get the lid off. I got together screw driver and pliers and went to work on the cardboard which was very hard to get loose. (I'm 76 w/arthritic hands) I wrote P&G an email and asked them how to open their boxes. Answer was they always look for the easiest ways for customers to use their products or blah blah blah. Don't really remember But they said they were going to send me some coupons for my trouble. I wrote back that I appreciated the coupons but really, how do you open your Gain boxes? No answer to that, but I got the coupons in the mail today. Two for $1 off a box of Gain. I put them in the trash. Some months ago I had purchased trash bags at Sams and noticed that some of them were open on the bottom seam when I spread them open to put in the trash can. I wrote them just to let them know, that it was important not to have holes in the bottom because I put my coffee grounds in the trash every morning. Both Sams people and the manufacturer went out of their way to apologize, get the information from the box on the manufacturing of the bags and Sams gave me a refund of the cost (almost $17) while the manufacturer sent me a coupon for another box. P&G is stingy.

I still buy the P&G blades simply because they work best for me. However, the cost of replacement blades is already ridiculous. If I wouldn't look like Yasser Arafat, I would stop shaving. Seriously, I cant grow facial hair where I dont look like I have mange.

I guess every generation needs to go through their own version of the Carter years. It is a very costly but educational experience for those with eyes to see. Ears to hear are not useful if you are only listening to the left's Ministry of Truth. In this announcement the left leaning company that brought us the Gillette commercials that condemned masculinity is now admitting they are already participating in the inflation cycle. Most people will soon come to realize that the future is dark and that the government is to blame. Carter never had billboards that say "Do you miss me yet?" and the left really resent that. All they can offer is the expectation that all the best years are in the past. Conservatives can offer an alternative. Reagan brought us out of the Carter malaise and Trump can also restore American Greatness. The Covid pandemic panic is a product of China and a tool of the left but most of us are ready to send it to the dustbin of history.

Yesterday, the FDA gave clearance to children being vaccinated with a novel mRNA cocktail against a disease which they have higher than a 99.997% chance of survival. Keep in mind, that figure isn’t 100% because children with mostly severe underlying health conditions succumbed with the presence of the virus in their system. It’s no less tragic, but these are the facts. To sum up the advisory board’s authorization, children already aren’t vectors of transmission and are not at risk of the virus, but now they will get experimental poison injected into their minimal musculature that still doesn’t prevent transmission

NEW YORK — Health officials on Friday offered more evidence that vaccinations offer better protection against COVID-19 than immunity from a prior infection. Unvaccinated people who had been infected months earlier were 5 times more likely to get COVID-19 than fully vaccinated people who didn’t have a prior infection, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concluded in a new study. “These data show, pretty strongly, that the vaccines are more protective against symptomatic COVID,” said Dr. Mike Saag, an infectious disease expert at the University of Alabama.
