The Minnesota National Guard is preparing for several new missions in the battle against COVID-19. "We are really multi-faceted and that's the thing that's really great about the National Guard," said Col. Scott Rohweder, the Minnesota National Guard's director of operations. 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS was allowed into the Joint Operations Center near the Minnesota State Capitol, which serves as the Minnesota National Guard's command hub for communication and decision-making.

A woman is dead and four others were hospitalized after police said a gunfight between people in two vehicles ended in a crash. The crash happened late Wednesday near Target Field in Minneapolis. Police said investigators are checking cameras and gathering evidence to see what led up to the crash. (snip) Witnesses told police people in two vehicles were shooting at each other. Moments later, those two SUVs crashed at the intersection of Fifth Street and Sixth Avenue North. One of the vehicles left the road and hit a woman riding a scooter down the sidewalk.

Some of them do admit that — when they’re cornered. I’m thinking of Dan Crenshaw being confronted by an election truther at a fundraiser in August and telling the guy that he was kidding himself if he believed there was such widespread fraud that it flipped the result in multiple states. There’s a cohort of hardcore populists within the House GOP whose loyalty to Trump is such that they’ll eagerly parrot any conspiracy theory he likes but most GOP reps who are asked about this tend to mumble something noncommittal about “election integrity” and “unanswered questions” before changing the subject.
