Southwest Airlines Cancels Even More Flights
as 'Issues' Worsen

As we reported earlier today, Southwest Airlines canceled hundreds of flights yesterday claiming, initially, that it was due to bad weather and that there were air traffic control issues.
But their issues continued, with another 1,000 flights canceled today, as well — almost 28% of their total flights. This was the second straight day of significant issues.
As we noted earlier, the claim of “weather” didn’t match what was happening in the country, and it wasn’t hitting other carriers. So, that wasn’t the real story. Fox’s Leland Vittert indicated that there was a “mass sickout” in protest of vaccine mandates. That many scrapped flights is obviously an internal problem, not weather.

My friends were to fly SW to Orlando for a birthday celebration this morning early. When the wake up alarm went off, so did a text from the airlines saying their flight was canceled. No reason given. Not only do the airlines mess with you on board, they are trying to bankrupt themselves and blame the passengers. John Kerry is a preek, of course, but maybe a private plane isn't all that bad.

They are probably discovering that you can't force pilots, flight attendants and baggage handlers to get The Shot.
"Gee, boss, I really am feeling sick, probably got the flu. Can't make that flight. Probably sick tomorrow, too."
Pushing harder will only make it worse, is my bet.

It sounds like there's a mass quarantine going on with the SW employees. I'm seeing more masks in my area than I've seen in a long time; When I was out shopping this weekend, I wondered if I'd missed some memo. Stores, unable to mandate masks, still have mask signs up and PSAs encouraging masks to keep one another safe. People need to let this virus run its course, and be done with it. Instead, there are too many who are willing to listen to and obey people who have sinister motives for keeping this virus alive. I stand with the Southwest Airlines protesters. Good for them.

As sorry as I feel for anyone with flight reservations right now, I am 100% behind the employees who are fighting for their right to control their own health decisions!!!
Hopefully SWA management will get the message loud and clear very quickly and cancel this incredibly stupid vaccine mandate!!!!

Inconvenient yes, but a step in the direction of ground level (urff -bad pun but I'll leave it there) push-back from workers who've rejected the mandates. I've not yet been so ordered, and in my low population red state smaller employer may not have to. Lead the way So'W employees. I hope y'all are the snowball that gets things rolling.

No matter what any of us do for a living, I see employees of every stripe beginning to stand together. This is exactly what needs to happen!! BULLYING for non-scientific and
unhealthy reasons is going to stop - one way or another.

I was wondering what was going in the world today, as our local "news" station presented some insipid, heartwarming story of handicapped people overcoming their challenges to enter marathon races. For some reason they didn't mention anything like this, though. Air traffic controllers, police, and nurses all over the country are quitting rather than be forced to be vaccinated. Soon there won't be anyone left to treat us, protect us, or let us go anywhere. Gee, could it all be on purpose?

Cancel all the flights. I am not flying these woke airlines anymore. I would rather drive than get woke.

I was always amazed at how the airlines could tell silly lies and expect most of the abandoned passengers to believe them while they sat wilting in the terminal. US Airways was always particularly adept at manufacturing weather delays while you stared out the window at bright sunshine and blue skies. How can anyone expect to fly somewhere now on a busy holiday and expect to enjoy a smooth trip? This Jacksonville crisis was caused entirely by vax refusal and they will tell you anything but the truth concerning their pet virus.

Flew SWA back in June from Raleigh to Oklahoma City. Originally it was a one stop flight in St. Louis. SWA changed it to a stop in Baltimore and another in Denver to get to OKC! This added about 5 hours to the trip. I won't be flying again.

Joe threatened to have OSHA issue a requirement, but there has been nothing out of OSHA. Companies are taking this action on threats of a threat. Nothing official has mandated it yet and one by one, companies are seeing a backlash from their employees.
