The drug was developed at Emory University, and appears to have activity against several viruses. It has been slammed as dangerous by someone who ought to know: "In May 2020, Rick Bright filed a whistleblower complaint, alleging that the Trump administration ignored his early warnings about the COVID-19 pandemic, pressured him to inappropriately fast-track unproven drugs, and illegally retaliated against him by removing him from his role as head of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) in April 2020." But the drug did very well in clinical trials (eg https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8219109/), and may be the best small molecule outpatient treatment for moderately severe COVID. The FDA will scrutinize safety concerns pretty carefully.

The first info I found on it in a very cursory search indicated that several other drug companies had abandoned that class of drugs because they are mutagenic.....cause mutations. As in dangerous as heck. And there sits ivermectin, 3.7 BILLION doses administered safely world wide, and cheap and effective at PREVENTING and CURING the Wuhan flu. Yet denigrated as "horse medicine" by the corrupt CDC and FDA.

I warned my oldest step daughter against these vaccines and urged her to research the differences between them before getting jabbed as I knew she would ultimately be vaccinated. Why? Because she wanted to go on a cruise. They’re leaving today. I hope this trip is worth it and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed in her.

Not too many years ago fluoroquinolones were trumpeted as the latest, greatest. most wonderful, safest antibiotics ever. But things began to turn up. The first was ruptured Achilles tendon. But then there were more. Actually a rather broad constellation of Adverse Drug Reactions. A handful of them were finally removed from the market after settlements were made with damaged patients. But some of them continued to be prescribed for everything from UTIs to sinus infections. Pretty heavy medication for these conditions, as at least one - ciprofloxacn - had been developed to combat anthrax and also the hospital pneumonia. As of 2013 the pages of adverse reaction reports numbered 48. There were successive Black Box warnings that doctors who saw them ignored. The wording re the adverse reactions included the word “irreversible”. Meanwhile Dr. Beatrice Goulomb at UCSD saw a connection between the cipro packs given to military personnel headed to the Iraq war. Intended to combat a possible anthrax attack, some apparently used them prophylactically and came home with what was called Gulf War Syndrome. Goulomb has for some years conducted a study of those damaged by fluoroquinolones, and especially the most widely prescribed ciprofloxacin. Why do I care? I was irreversibly damaged by it. I am not a physician, but the person who repeatedly prescribed it to me was my primary for 28 years. Noted in our medically blessed community and the larger community that includes USC and UCLA. She used an antibiotic that was already in serious trouble for overuse. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s still prescribing it. So, I don’t swallow whole the obvious medical professionals who come on forums like this one and beat the drum for the vaccines and the pills that have never even been fully approved. Not that that constitutes total validation of their safety. Anyone with half an ounce of medical knowledge that the reactions that occur when therapeutics are used on the general public often tell a very sad tale - as in the case of the fluoroquinolones and the Covid experimental shots. If they are in fact doctors, their giving medical advice in such a wholesale way is unethical and irresponsible. I wonder if they pay attention to real pros like Drs. Peter McCullough and Robert Malone?

So, you have covid and take this pill. For a few days it allows the covid virus to mutate and live. Then it begins to kill some of the covid virus. The rest of the mutated virus might die of its own weakness, or, it could be stronger than the original virus and kill you then others you infect. Why? Just stick to ivermectin, folks.

Meanwhile, we have therapeutics the covid-porn afflicted can not even give a cursory glance. So we ask again, what is the real reason the central government must get bigger an stronger and more authoritarian and dictatorial, and increasingly threatening rather than openly pursuing every possible remedy, palliative, cure. One thing is sure, as history teaches us by endless examples, the authoritarian ruler always grows more unyielding, more ruthless, and totalitarian. We have become subjects, we should be the authority, not a centralized bureaucracy dominated by totalitarian thugs, childish academics, and arrogant snobs.

Impact of forest thinning on wildfires
creates divisions

Posted by earlybird 10/9/2021 2:13:45 PM Post Reply
Firefighters and numerous studies credit intensive forest thinning projects with helping save communities like those recently threatened near Lake Tahoe in California and Nevada, but dissent from some environmental advocacy groups is roiling the scientific community. States in the U.S. West and the federal government each year thin thousands of acres of dense timber and carve broad swaths through the forest near remote communities, all designed to slow the spread of massive wildfires. The projects aim to return overgrown forests to the way they were more than a century ago, when lower-intensity blazes cleared the underbrush regularly and before land managers began reflexively extinguishing every wildfire as soon as possible.

Democrats are worried about another White House bid by former President Trump, something that is appearing increasingly likely on the eve of an Iowa rally by the leading potential GOP candidate. Democrats say Trump can't be taken for granted. While some are confident a new Trump candidacy would bring out a wave of Democratic voters to defeat him, others are worried he could return to power. And that's enough to bring shudders to most in the party. "There's not a strategist or insider that I'm hanging out with who would like to see Donald Trump running again," said Rachel Bitecofer, a Democratic pollster. "Nobody should think he would be a weak nominee."

When does a pandemic end? How does a pandemic end? These were the questions I was asking myself after Megyn Kelly hosted Dr. Monica Gandhi on her podcast last week. As it turns out, sooner or later we’ll have to admit that our COVID-19 pandemic is morphing into the endemic stage of the disease. A disease can be classified as endemic when it is “persisting in a population or region, generally having settled to a relatively constant rate of occurrence,” or, as Dr. Gandhi put it, you’ve reached endemic levels of a disease when “it’s gone down to a level where you live with it.”
