The final week of September has been overwhelmingly dominated by internal Democratic Party division threatening to derail a bipartisan $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill and President Joe Biden's wider “Build Black Better” agenda, including Democrats’ go-it-alone sweeping budget reconciliation bill of up to $3.5 trillion. In particular, centrist Democrat Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have proved to be roadblocks. Earlier in the week, senior Pentagon and military officials faced the music on Afghanistan. Here are the quotes of the week.“Renominating you means gambling that, for the next five years, a Republican majority at the Federal Reserve with a Republican chair who has regularly voted to deregulate Wall Street won’t

Great idea. S/O Libs make no sense. Men having babies is their logic. We are lucky now. According to libs men can have babies. So now a man should be able to impregnante himself and give birth. We no longer need women to do that. That should help cut down on abortions. I keep asking libs to show me a video of a man having a live birth. I want to see what hole the baby comes out of, but they always shut down the conversation when I ask.

It sounds like all of the government's problems could be solved with more money. Maybe we should just have our paychecks direct-deposited to the IRS, Congress exempted of course.

MINNEAPOLIS—As activists mobilized this summer to ask Minneapolis voters to replace their police department, one of the first prominent Democrats to slam the plan was a moderate congresswoman who doesn’t even live in the city.Angie Craig declared it “shortsighted, misguided and likely to harm the very communities that it seeks to protect.” She warned that it could push out the city’s popular Black police chief.Craig’s district covers a suburban-to-rural and politically divided region south of the city, but her willingness to jump into the fight next door highlights the political threat that Democrats like Craig see in the proposal. As a city that has become synonymous with police abuse wrestles

Amidst all the arguments about tax rates, foreign policy, border enforcement, and judicial appointments, the fact that the United States still exterminates hundreds of thousands of babies a year via abortions often goes unnoticed by Republican politicians. After all, some left-wing corporate overlord paying too high of a tax rate is clearly the issue of our time, right?Even still, you’d expect high-level Republicans to not actively undercut the case for life. Donna McLeod, who is also black and was born in Jamaica, told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution she strongly opposes the idea of a statue for the conservative justice, who was appointed to the court in 1991 amid allegations of sexual harassment. McLeod is so against the proposal - put forward by state Republicans - that she would prefer to leave standing monuments to the likes of Confederate soldiers and slave owners, she said.

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Yasmin Vossoughian Reports,” Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) argued that the $3.5 trillion price tag for the Build Back Better Act reconciliation package “is a modest investment” for an economy the size of America’s. Torres said, “[T]here’s misconception about the price tag of the Build Back Better Act. The Build Back Better Act, the original draft, it is not 3.5 trillion over the course of a year. It’s over the course of ten years. So, it’s $350 billion. Which, for a $20 trillion economy like ours, is a modest investment. So, I think it’s shortsighted to focus on the price tag.”
