Hoover Institution senior fellow Victor Davis Hanson offered a prediction about the midterm elections on Wednesday that Democrats won't want to hear.“There’s going to be a reckoning,” the historian said on "Tucker Carlson Tonight." "I think whether it’s Mexican-American communities on the border or where I live, or soccer moms mad about what’s being taught in schools, it’s not a top down, woke revolution," he continued. "It’s a grassroots populist revolution. We’re going to see it in the next midterms I think a lot of these institutions are going to rue the positions they’ve taken and the damage they’ve done."

Doesn't really matter at this point how we vote. The Dominion voting machines will make sure the Dems hold both the House and the Senate locally and Federally. As far as the Dems are concerned, if it worked once, it'll work again since there's nothing that we can be done about it short of an armed insurrection which seems unlikely.

#1 is right. There needs to be an asterisk on all comments like VDH's, * assuming a somewhat honest election.

FTA: "Is it incompetence? Accidental? Is it non-compos mentis problems with the president?"
It's none of the above. "Moderate" Americans are experiencing what psychologists call a "Significant Emotional Event", a life-changer induced to affect social behaviors. From masks to vax, "mostly peaceful" riots to local government upheavals, defund the police, military incompetence and insubordination to civilian control...add your own to the list. Remember when it was proclaimed that "If Americans begin to yield their own freedoms at home, the terrorists have won." Well, been to an airport recently? How about those Patriot Act provisions now being used to designate parents as "domestic terrorists", or FISA court abuse, "rogue" intel and law enforcement agencies, and ad nauseum. And now COVIDS...and it's interminable variants. Allows governments everywhere to assume dictatorial powers. How's that "freedom" stuff working for you, Australia? We hardly see the USA's descent, and fail to see the broader picture.
"We have been asleep and they have filtered into all these institutions with this agenda we don’t want, and it doesn’t work." -VDH
I wonder if all those looking to water that tree of liberty with blood would go to their street corner to demonstrate, calling for resistance. We haven't been asleep, so much as gulled thinking good sense and logic will take care of all this, eventually. Also gulled into thinking government was "good" and politicians were on "our side". Besides, we're still prosperous and protected by a Constitution. Someday we'll figure this out...maybe.

VDH is a modern-day prophet. Treasure his words and admonitions like you would scripture.

Let's not count our chickens just yet.
The Democrats still control the media, the justice system and intelligence gathering systens, All can be used to attack the enemies of the state (ie, Republicans).
The Democrats can also use their extensive vote fraud capabilities to turn a close election in their favor.
And the final problem, as taught many years ago by my High School history teacher, and still true today as it was in the 1970s ... never underestimate the stupidity of the national Republican party.

Leftists nationwide are hard at work on how to implement the national election fraud of 2020 at the congressional and state level in 2022.

I guess it makes many, if not a majority, of republican voters feel better about their own dependent selves to place most of the blame for America's accelerating descent on their elected representatives; however, it appears that those elected ARE representing their constituents according to their constituents own behavior. Failure to own the streets by massive citizen protests sends the signal to our representatives in Congress that, although the right-of-center citizens (the slim majority of Americans) have a set of beliefs in direct opposition to the hard left, those same right-of-center citizens remain largely invisible and do not wish to display civil disobedience, lest they upset the apple cart and be punished for expressing those rights enshrined in our Constitution. The only visible exceptions of late are the angry school moms, the anti-maskers, and those adamantly refusing to "raise their sleeves" to receive the government's injection. The right-of-center; however, do not literally fight back against the street thugs deployed by the hard left. Politicians take such inaction by those who elected them and emulate such inaction in the U. S. Capitol, becoming scapegoats for those who need to blame others, while often displaying the belief that America is already over and there's nothing the people can do about it. My opinion is not very popular among the right-of-center populace, to say the least, because we've seldom had to contemplate the notion that it is up to the citizens to lead their "leaders" but what is the alternative?

Why is it every pundit about anything always says it's about soccer moms getting mad about this or that. What the dads don't count? Seems to me a dad showed up at a school board meeting recently and was arrested for questioning the board about his daughter getting raped in a school bathroom. Just because dads are working doesn't mean they tune everything out. Seems to me, we're in this mess because too many soccer moms can't make up their minds and have voted for far too many demosluts over the last twenty years. We can thank soccer moms for Obozo being elected and Biteme coming into public view. Before that, I dare say 80% of the country didn't know who this clown was or where he came from.

I don't want to hear it either. I fell for the predictions that Trump would be re-elected and the GOP would control the Senate so this time around, I'd rather be surprised in 2022 than disappointed once again.

Yea, well, first you better tell me how you are going to stop the fraud. Democrats win every swing state days after the polls have closed. They just keep finding and counting ballots until they move ahead. They count until the freakin cows come home. Got it..

This is an awesome Must Read, as Victor Davis Hansen sums up the current dilemma which is challenging life in America as we know it. America, with all its human flaws, has always supported our U.S. Constitutional compass for direction as we strive with determination toward that shineing city on the hill, as Pres Reagan said. But look at America now wherever dem pols have won elections! Chaos abounds! It is becoming unrecognizable wherever dem pols dictate. This socialist/dem leadership is like a house of cards, ready to collapse at the next AUTHENTIC election.

"THEY" stole the Big One so a local or state election is like a piece of cake, a walk in the park, etc. McAwful wins by fewer than 5,000 votes. Book it Dano!!!

#1, and others seem to have a defeatist mentality, or are they simply part of the democrat operation to divide the majority of the country who don't subscribe to the Progressive agenda.
Sure, the Presidential election looks to have a lot of issues, but Republicans gained seats compared to what was forecast.
There's a reason a top ranking democrat in Kentucky announced his retirement, and he chairs a powerful committee - he obviously knows things don't look favorable.
Nancy has been holding people in her party from running for other offices - if she felt they could hold those seats she wouldn't be concerned.
And, did you see that a Republican won an Iowa house seat that had been in Democrat column for 46 years?
They won't be able to do what they did in 2020 again, more will be viewing, and reviewing. Which is why they are trying to ram these extra spending packages through.
