Are Perceptions of COVID Changing?

Original Article

Mask and vaccine mandates are less politically damaging than they should be. Recent polls show that around 64% of Americans support mask mandates, although less than half view masks as effective. (snip) The truth is evident and pervasive. They said lockdowns would end COVID. They said distancing would end COVID. They said masks would end COVID. They said vaccines would end COVID. We lost our jobs, missed our families, miseducated our children, suffocated and killed ourselves, and are over 90% vaccinated or immune and COVID is still here.

Government policies have killed millions more people than any virus. We should shutdown the government. In fact, it was the government that funded the invention of Covid 19.

Common face masks leak like a sieve, at least the ones the vast majority of PC'ers and "fashionistas" among us have been using. They don't protect you from much of anything, and only diminish the shedding you might do if you are having coughing and sneezing fits along with your viral load. They are really just "good feeling" palliatives, sort of like the pills they give the dying to keep them from thinking about what is happening to them.

I live in a town of about 76,000. We have a university here and quite a lot of businesses and restaurants. I work at the university and I have to wear a mask while inside. So do the all the students here as well as the students in the schools. My son, my daughter and son-in-law do not have to wear masks where they work. I see a few masks when I am out shopping but not a lot. Having to wear a mask causes me to feel angry, resentful and depressed. I loathe masks more than I can express.

Details are thin, but Presidentish Joe Biden reportedly will suspend his vaccine mandate for federal workers. According to a memo issued by the Biden administration, the “White House’s Office of Management and Budget is telling federal agencies they should hold off on suspending or firing federal workers for not complying with the vaccine mandate until after the holidays.” This is a huge cave for an administration whose remaining anti-COVID effort is focused almost exclusively on the vaccine mandate. Further lockdowns are out, according to one report. People have lost patience with social distancing and travel restrictions.

Muhammad Ali said, "It ain't bragging if you can back it up." So, excuse me for bragging, but in my almost six years as a nationally syndicated radio and TV host, my predictions have been remarkably accurate. I'm not perfect, but I'm batting close to .990. It's the best record of anyone in the media. Almost everything I've predicted has come true, including a stolen election based on mail-in voting without voter ID; a communist takeover of the USA based on lockdowns, COVID-19 "public safety" mandates and open borders; and President Joe Biden being a brain-dead puppet with dementia.

Dan Bongino walks the walk, in addition to talking the talk. He may be professionally classified as a talker now that he has a podcast, a three-hour syndicated talk show, a weekly Fox News Channel show, and a simulcast presence on Fox Nation, but the former NYPD cop and Secret Service agent is a man of action. I tip my hat to Dan for standing on principle – even at potentially great financial cost – in dealing with bullying by Antifa and by the vaccine mandate fanatics.

Andrew Cuomo announced yesterday that he’s resigning as governor of New York because he loves the state and it’s clear that he’s in the way. Since I think very little of the man, both as a person and a politician, the fact that he’s leaving seems like good news. However, it’s very likely that, by pulling out now, he’s sparing himself and his minions a criminal investigation into the 15,000 old people who died last year when he insistently warehoused COVID patients into retirement communities.

Another chapter is being written in the book known as “I don’t recognize my country anymore.” The latest entry is the leftist jihad waged against Dr. Joseph Mercola for daring to contradict the left’s agreed-upon narrative about preventing and treating COVID. Up until COVID hit, Dr. Joseph Mercola was a well-respected osteopathic physician and best-selling author whose specialty was natural health – that is, maintaining good health through smart nutrition and healthy living. Since the left was long about natural health, he was even featured in such leftist media outlets as Time, Forbes, and CNN.

Once upon a time, IBM required its male workers to wear white shirts (and of course ties) and sport no facial hair because the company did not wish to offend any customers. (snip) Instead of focusing on work, employees were arguing over politics. The company decided to change all that. But while its ban on talking politics in the office drew the attention from political blogs (duh), the ending of committees and the conversion of paternalistic benefits into cash are the real sea-change in the corporation.

No matter where you are, there's a virtual meeting space in cyberspace. That's pretty cool. What's really cool about Basecamp, though, is its CEO's new rule: people may not discuss politics at work. With that single announcement, a third of the workforce quit. Other American corporations should follow suit.

The Salvation Army said Monday it has withdrawn a discussion guide on racism that was intended for its church members but that an advocacy group claimed was given to donors as a call to “repent” for being White. “If that document is getting in the way of the fulfillment of our mission, The Salvation Army is going to remove it,” Commissioner Kenneth Hodder, the group’s U.S. national commander, told The Washington Times. “Because nothing can be allowed to affect the fulfillment of that critical mission.” The church group has been flooded by email complaints about repentance requests over its guide “Let’s Talk About Racism,” one critic said.

So much for “Minnesota nice.” President Joe Biden received an ugly welcome in the Land of 10,000 Lakes Tuesday when his motorcade passed dozens of protesters who held vulgar signs dissing the commander-in-chief. Some of the demonstrators waved campaign flags for former President Donald Trump. One sign said “FJB” in an apparent abbreviation of “F–k Joe Biden.” “A less coded version just outright said ‘F–k you Biden’ with the U in the F word cleverly drawn to look like a middle finger,” reported White House pool correspondent Todd Gillman of the Dallas Morning News. “A real middle finger attached to a somewhat rough looking middle age man

Chris "Fredo" Cuomo is one of the pampered princes at CNN whose usefulness to the network was pretty much nil after his bigger brother, Andrew Cuomo, the governor of New York, went down in disgrace. Now it comes to light that he was engaged in some despicable conflict-of-interest behavior that, as Rolling Stone noted, "would get any other journalist fired." RS's unexpectedly good report is here: Chris Cuomo hosts a primetime CNN show on which he discusses national political issues. He’s also the brother of Andrew Cuomo, the disgraced former governor of New York who resigned in August in the wake of a damning report detailing several allegations of sexual misconduct.

There are significant policy-related differences between men and women. And it is likely in our best interest as police officers to capitalize on the differences and use them to our advantage. While on the other side, if the differences cause challenges, change our method of training to accommodate the differences. A video that we’ve received today shows why male and female cops should work together! Officials say Forsberg found 21-year-old Ari Young outside the home, and he became combative with her. Cellphone video shot from within a home on Cabazon Court begins as the man identified as Young is slugging Forsberg in the head.

Antifa and BLM typically throw their tantrums in liberal hellholes, or where guns aren’t easily allowed, like Portland, Seattle, Chicago, and New York City. Kenosha, Wisc., was a different story. When Antifa and BLM went to Kenosha to riot against the police shooting of an armed black sexual predator named Jacob Blake, they were probably thinking they could play by their usual rules: burn and loot with near impunity, and attack whomever they want. Kyle Rittenhouse changed those rules.

Gov. Ron DeSantis continues to lead while other Republicans cower in the corner. With the rise of the so-called “Omicron” variant of COVID (they skipped the Xi variant for obvious reasons), the Florida governor has chosen to double down on policies that actually make sense. Lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine mandates simply haven’t produced results in other parts of the country. Michigan, led by Democrat Gretchen Whitmer, serves as the latest example with the state now having the highest COVID case rate in the nation. In comparison, DeSantis has rightly decided that it’s better to follow actual data and real-world results than to abide by the gospel of Fauci.
