Dems sneakily slip radical ‘red flag’
provision into defense budget

Original Article

A provision added to the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act, the Pentagon’s annual budget, has raised some eyebrows among Second Amendment advocates because it would authorize military courts to issue protective orders making the possession or accessing of a firearm by a targeted service member unlawful, at least temporarily. The so-called “red flag” provision would also exempt military courts from denying members their Fifth Amendment right to due process, according to Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who discussed the issue with trial attorney, author, and retired Army Col. Kurt Schlichter.

Comments:

This piece of garbage will pass with large margins, because few will come out against the NDAA. Package a defense authorization with garbage like this should be illegal, but its one of the few ways they can backdoor crap like this in.

We as a society are going to have to come to a consensus. Either we are a free people, or we are not. The climax is barreling down upon us and we must stand for freedom now. Many people believe that tyranny can never come for us. It is not who we are. Well, clearly that is a wrong assumption. There are many in this country who will go along with a tyrannical agenda when it is not their ox being gored, but that will not be the case forever. Lose freedom in one area and every area is at risk. We have to determine in our minds if we want freedom or if we want to be ruled by a tyrannical government, most who are unelected bureaucrats. As President Ronald Reagan challenged us, the time for choosing is now.

Almost 100 percent of Americans need to be vaccinated before the country can safely return to normal, President Joe Biden claimed Monday. Biden said that “97%, 98%” is the goal as a country during his much-publicized appointment to receive a COVID-19 booster shot Monday. He offered no explanation for the number. Medical experts, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, have predicted that herd immunity would only require 70% to 85% of Americans to be vaccinated.

A Democratic bill legalizing abortion on demand nationwide includes provisions for "every person capable of becoming pregnant," including "transgender men." The House on Friday passed the Women’s Health Protection Act along near party lines, in an effort to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law before the Supreme Court considers a case that could overturn the landmark decision. The bill notes that "transgender men, non-binary individuals, those who identify with a different gender … are unjustly harmed by restrictions on abortion services."

In a chaotic interview with "The View" Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris likened aggressive acts by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers on horseback at the southern border with the historical treatment of slaves and Indigenous Americans. CBP came under fire this week after images surfaced showing border protection officers on horseback corralling Haitian migrants away from illegally entering the U.S. One officer appeared to swing his reins while attempting to deter a migrant from crossing the river into Del Rio, Texas – prompting fierce backlash from Democrats who claimed the agent was whipping the individual.

SCOOP: Playbook has learned that during an intense meeting at the White House on Wednesday, Rep. PRAMILA JAYAPAL (D-Wash.) broke into tears while arguing her case to President JOE BIDEN that the reconciliation bill should include a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, essential workers and farm workers. During the Oval Office meeting, several prominent Hill progressives argued forcefully for a robust reconciliation package. Jayapal, who leads the Congressional Progressive Caucus, advocated for the inclusion of major immigration provisions, and toward that end, used her own story as a selling point.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is warning the Republican Party that staying in former President Donald Trump’s thrall will not lead to a viable political future. The Lexington Herald-Leader obtained a preview of Peril, the upcoming book from Bob Woodward and Robert Costa that has already produced a multitude of explosive details on Trump’s last days in office. According to the new excerpt, McConnell is encouraging the GOP to move away from Trumpism, calling the ex-president “a fading brand. Retired. OTTB as they say in Kentucky — off-the-track Thoroughbred.” “There is a clear trend moving,” McConnell said. “Sucking up to Donald Trump is not a strategy that works.”

And I think that would be better for the country. There hasn't been any type of substantive evidence that has come forward,” the former two-term governor and Republican 2024 contender said during a virtual appearance at the annual Texas Tribune Festival.

Vice President Harris on Tuesday condemned the treatment of Haitian migrants at the southern border after images circulated appearing to show Border Patrol agents on horseback grabbing individuals seeking to enter the U.S. "What I saw depicted, those individuals on horseback treating human beings the way they were was horrible," Harris told reporters after an event to promote the White House's economic agenda. "I fully support what is happening right now, which is a thorough investigation into what is going on there. But human beings should never be treated that way, and I’m deeply troubled about it," she said.
