A massive police response resulted in four arrests Saturday mobilized outside a fenced-off US Capitol Saturday as right-wing protesters denounced what they called the “inhumane treatment” of dozens of Jan. 6 rioters who remain jailed while awaiting trials.Fewer than 500 people, many of them journalists, gathered at the “Justice for J6” rally on the grassy expanse of Union Square, near the reflecting pool.Rally organizer Matt Braynard, of the group Look Ahead America, made light of the huge show of force.“It’s a little bit of overkill, but I respect it,” he joked as he spoke to his supporters.

There were more media members than actual protesters. The threat was exaggerated. The liberal media may not know this yet, but even prior to January 6—the far right in America is…not big.

(snip) Anyone with half a brain could see that this was another FBI entrapment scheme, to justify more arrests and more prisoners in solitary confinement awaiting trial for walking benignly through the U.S. Capitol. Social media was full of warnings to stay away from the trap. Even President Trump warned that it was “a setup.”
And as usual, Trump was right. The Daily Mail reported, “Protesters outnumbered by police…as just a handful of demonstrators turn up.”
Chris Rock has tested positive for COVID-19 and is urging his followers to get vaccinated.
