Why all the fuss about Ivermectin?

Original Article

First hydroxychloroquine, now ivermectin, is the hated deadly drug de jour, castigated by the medical establishment and regulatory authorities. Both drugs have been around for a long time as FDA-approved prescription medications. Yet now we are told they are as deadly as arsenic. (snip) The Guardian describes ivermectin as horse medicine reminding readers considering taking the drug, “You are not a horse. You are not a cow”, saying it’s a medicine meant for farm animals. The FDA echoed that sentiment in a recent tweet, adding “Seriously, y’all. Stop it”, their word choice making it obvious who the tweet was directed to.

The simple answer to this question is "follow the money". But even more importantly, the powers-that-be don't want anything that will treat Covid, since they are using the fear of Covid to control the masses of peasants. If the peasants looked at the raw numbers, they would realize how little chance they have of getting seriously ill or dying of this virus. When peasants get angry, out come the pitchforks and tar and feathers for the bureaucrats that tried to scare them for so long. So they want you to live in fear as long as possible.

Ivermectin was invented as a drug for humans, and eventually was expanded to be used for animals, too. Now the hateful death lovers insist it is "horse medicine", which is a total lie, as usual. And the Japanese Medical Association is apparently still primarily interested in saving lives, so has endorsed it's use for Wuhan flu. At the same time CDC and AMA are against saving lives, so oppose the use of this safe and life-saving treatment.

The CDC seems fixated on vaccination and forgot that people are still getting the Covid virus. They seem to brush off the thought of any type of treatment. Why can't we have both? Seems like that would be a more effective way to beat Covid than leaving the infected to chance and just let the virus run its course.

Published in March, a study of African countries where ivermectin use is prevalent versus African countries where it isn't: "Conclusions: The morbidity and mortality in the onchocerciasis endemic countries are lesser than those in the non-endemic ones. The community-directed onchocerciasis treatment with ivermectin is the most reasonable explanation for the decrease in morbidity and fatality rate in Africa. In areas where ivermectin is distributed to and used by the entire population, it leads to a significant reduction in mortality." https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.03.26.21254377v1.full.pdf

Yes. Both drugs are "generic," so they can be made cheaply and although profitable, not as profitable as branded drugs. For example, Viagara is now available in generic (cheaper) versions. You don't see Viagara ads anymore, because the extremely high Big Pharma margins are gone. If someone could come up with a new version.of HCG or Ivermectin, Big Pharma, Doc Fauci, and the media whores would be pushing it as the savior of us all. At $6 a pill. Or more.

My brother and his wife, a retired public health nurse, both had been fully vaccinated (Moderna) when they contracted COVID 19 last month. After two weeks of semi-misery, they went to their family physician, who prescribed Ivermectin, azithromycin, and zinc. My brother started feeling better within hours. Both were well enough the following day to resume normal routines of gardening and household chores. Within days they were fully recovered.

The Power of Terrible Ideas 1 reply

While many have criticized the current enthusiasm for judging the past by the standards of the present (and condemning those past leaders who did not meet them), few have noted how many currently dominant beliefs are totally disconnected from reality and have a profoundly destructive impact. I propose to discuss two of them here: ideas about the nature of mental illness which have produced what Charles Krauthammer called “an army of broken souls foraging and freezing in the streets” and the conviction that our planet is in existential danger from human-induced climate change. The latter has led to a wholly unwarranted, hugely expensive crusade to eliminate fossil fuels.

I'd spent the day mentally writing an attack on her, only to see Tucker Carlson hold forth with an incendiary monologue that attacked her "I'm not a biologist" lunacy, the whole transgender madness that the left is advancing, and the real agenda of remaking society in an ugly way, especially through the death of free speech.

The paradigm of seeking a balance between the federal government and states began to cave during the Obama years. Now, under Biden, the abandonment of the federalism paradigm is picking up steam, and we see an attempt to sabotage federalism in favor of a vast federal bureaucracy and regulations and laws produced and upheld by a cadre of antisocial, power-mad elitists. The replacement is seen in a growing identity with authoritarian regimes (snip) This agenda is not mainly an agenda of countries, nor of states or provinces or other localities within countries. In Oakland, at a concentrated community of "tiny homes," given out by the city to the homeless, the result was this, according to The Oaklandside: A fire Monday morning incinerated three tiny-home shelters at a city-run transitional-housing site at E. 12th Street and 2nd Avenue, across from Lake Merritt. Nobody was injured, according to authorities, but five people who were living in the scorched shelters were displaced. A fourth tiny-home was damaged as well.
