Ex-Obama education chief compares anti-mask
Americans to suicide bombers

Original Article

A former Obama administration Cabinet official on Sunday compared Americans who oppose face masks and vaccines to suicide bombing terrorists that killed Americans at the Kabul airport. As the families of U.S. service members that died as a result of the ISIS-K attack in Afghanistan last week met with President Biden, Arne Duncan tweeted that he saw a comparison between the killers in Afghanistan and those Americans who oppose masks and vaccines. “Have you noticed how strikingly similar both the mindsets and actions between the suicide bombers at Kabul’s airport, and the anti-mask and anti-vax people here?”(Snip)“They both blow themselves up, inflict harm on

Comments:

Duncan merely parrots the stated position of the federal government, which considers Americans who decline vaccination, or who understand that face masks cannot block viruses, to be domestic violent extremists, or DVEs for short.

This talk from POS Duncan and others of his ilk is not going to persuade anybody. All it does is make people dig in their heels. If they don’t want the vaccine, they have their reasons. It’s not for others to demand they get it or try to shame them for not doing so. MYOB.

Recall that the NAZIS referred to the Jews as rats so that they could be more easily dehumanized. Those Americans opposing masks and vaccines today similarly need to be marginalized for now (and maybe punished later) so that "normal" people can ignore them and their extremist message, which will surely "inflict harm." As such "we" need to make it very difficult for such extremists to express their opinions.

The last American evacuation flights left Kabul’s international airport Monday, ending the longest US war weeks shy of its 20th anniversary—but with hundreds of American citizens and thousands more Afghan allies left behind. Gen. Frank McKenzie Jr., the head of US Central Command, told reporters that the last US C-17 departed Hamid Karzai International Airport at 3:29 p.m. ET (11:59 p.m. Kabul time).(Snip)In total, McKenzie said, more than 79,000 civilians had been flown out of the Kabul airport on US military aircraft since Aug. 14–including 6,000 Americans and 73,500 Afghans and third-country citizens. The number of evacuated civilians grew

A US drone strike near Kabul airport has killed ten people, of which six were children, all from the same family according to relatives who survived the blast. The family members were killed when a car parked outside their home was hit by the drone strike on Sunday, which was targeting a vehicle thought to be carrying a member of ISIS-K—the Islamic State affiliate responsible for the Kabul airport terror attacks just days ago. The Education Department is investigating whether five states are violating the rights of students with disabilities by barring schools from requiring that masks be worn indoors. The move threatens the states with the possible loss of federal education funding. The department’s civil rights office said Monday it told the education departments of the five states—Iowa, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Utah—that their prohibitions are keeping schools from taking the steps they think are needed to protect students from COVID-19.(Snip)The letter marks a sharp escalation in the Biden administration’s battle with Republican-led states that say wearing masks should be a personal choice.

Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs, must go. President Biden claims that the military advised him to close Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan and instead use Kabul’s airport to evacuate Americans. They were the ones who said the Afghan army would hold, that the pullout would go smoothly. If Biden is telling the truth, this disaster is on Milley’s watch. Or Biden is lying (the more likely scenario, based on what sources inside the administration are saying) and Milley failed to do his duty and push back against a commander in chief who is making deadly decisions. The public school system in America is in crisis — the worst crisis since the forced bussing and integration issues of the 1970s. Simply put, parents and students have lost faith in the school system to educate. They doubt whether the schools have the best interests of their students at heart. This poisonous doubt is having a tangible effect on enrollment. Despite the fact that public education is free, parents are sending their children to private schools with more reliable, more predictable policies.
