Ted Cruz claimed Afghan refugees can call an uber to leave their holding location in the U.S. as Republican criticism of the Biden administration's vetting process ramped up ahead of the U.S. withdraw from Afghanistan. The criticism came amid a report that an Afghan man who had been convicted of rape and had been deported from the U.S. was allowed to board an Afghan evacuation flight to America. Cruz is one several Republican lawmakers who have criticized President Joe Biden's handling of the situation in Afghanistan.(Snip)The administration is increasing its vetting process. A congressman in Wisconsin noted the same thing a couple of days ago. None of the 2,000 "refugees" had any business being in the USA, none had a special waiver indicating that they helped our foolish nation try to liberate Afghanistan from whatever it is we were saving them over the past two decades. Instead, what Popular Joe did was grab as many random refugees (and terrorists and whatever else the Taliban saw fit to wave through security) as possible and bring them in so the government could show us how effective they can be when they put their mind to it. https://www.lucianne.com/2021/08/28/they_can_leave_at_any_time_congressman_expresses_concern_over_unvetted_afghans_at_us_army_base_67620.html

Why in the hell are these unwashed disease bags allowed to leave base? They are not citizens; in most cases there is no possible way they have even been processed for a green card (or vetted in any meaningful way). Do we give them a bomb vest at the gate, and a map to potential targets, too? These 'refugees' should be strictly quarantined for months, if necessary, until they can be vetted in every way possible. I don't want them here at all, but we are obviously stuck with this rabble. We are under no obligation to just turn them loose on society. This is completely unacceptable. Perhaps a strongly worded letter will do the trick this time. Let's get Squid McCarthy on that.

All Afghan "refugees" should be resettled in the neighboring muslim countries of Central Asia, where the culture is similar. ALL of them. Not one in the United States. Muslims do not assimilate in the United States because Islam is incompatible with Western civilization.

There’s a government program that gives immigrants $60,000 to start a business. A lot of them become truck drivers. That’s why there’s so many Somali truckers. And Russian. Get ready folks. I’d heard this for years but hoped it was false but had a meeting with an AFLAC agent who said he had a lot of customers that got started like that. Then they bring their nephews over and they start a trucking company too! We are second class citizens in our own country and it’s farfin bullshiite

Glenn Beck and others tried to rescue abandoned Americans/ Christians in Afghanistan, but the State Department fought them and wouldn't let them. But if they were Muslim ala Obama era then by gosh let them in and change our country like the illegal aliens are doing on the Southern border. These demonrats are Communists and pure evil. Please Lord, save our country that we love and save us from these evildoers and God haters and good haters.

A Texas man may have been inspired by foreign terrorists when he murdered his Lyft driver, then opened fire inside a local police station, authorities said. Imran Ali Rasheed, 33, was fatally shot by cops in the lobby of the Plano Police Department on Sunday, after he killed 26-year-old driver Isabella Lewis and stole her car, according to officials. Rasheed, who’d previously been investigated by the FBI, left a note in Lewis’ car that led investigators to believe he was a follower of the “rhetoric” and “propaganda” of an unnamed terrorist organization, said Matthew DeSarno, special agent in charge of the FBI Dallas office.

A group of Democrats is urging Homeland Security to cancel the fees that normally would have been charged for Afghans who are being evacuated to the U.S., saying they are worried the need to pay will hold up some applications and cost some would-be migrants their lives. Rep. House Republicans urged Democrats on Tuesday to postpone consideration of President Biden’s $3.5 trillion expansion of America’s social safety net, arguing that Congress instead should address the nation’s mounting foreign and domestic woes. Rep. Bruce Westerman of Arkansas, the top Republican on the House Natural Resources Committee, said Democratic leaders were putting the spending package above the interests of the country. Mr. Westerman made the argument in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Raúl Grijalva of Arizona. “America is facing crises both at home and abroad, yet Congress is nowhere to be found,” Mr. Westerman wrote.

The study, by the think-tank led by Tony Blair, argues that ‘road pricing’ is needed to replace the more than £30billion in revenue generated annually from motoring taxes. This would see drivers pay per mile or per minute for the amount of distance or time spent on the roads. The report, by the Tony Blair Institute For Global Change, urges ministers to reveal how they plan to replace current motoring taxes within a year, warning it may become ‘politically impossible’

I ask this question for two reasons: I have seen enough videos and read about enough officer-civilian interactions to know that the act of subduing a lethal threat requires several rounds. If an intruder entered my home and threatened my wife and child, I would shoot until I was able to ensure the target was immobilized. As to the first statement, there are plenty of examples of police officers firing multiple shots at a suspected threat. In the past year, the American public has been thoroughly able to parse through the shootings of criminals like Breonna Taylor and Antonio Brown, to name just two examples.
