For months, terrorism analysts warned that Islamic State-linked militants in Afghanistan would try to turn the Biden administration’s exit into a bloody spectacle.
On Thursday in Kabul, those predictions were realized.
ISIS-Khorasan, the Islamic State’s Afghanistan and Pakistan arm, issued a statement claiming responsibility for the suicide bombing attack that killed 13 U.S. service members and dozens of Afghans in an attack outside the airport.(snip)In Afghanistan, with the U.S.-backed government gone from power, ISIS-K can now focus on undermining its other local enemy, the Taliban, which analysts said will be hard-pressed to stave off attacks as it struggles to secure and govern a war-weary nation.

Some retired military man that was on TV last night was saying that the terrorists in ISISk, Taliban, Al-qaeda bounce around between gangs and that really they are all the same...

They are all the same: the taliban, ISIS, ISIS-K, al qaeda, hezbollah, hamas, and DEMOCRATS! They all hate America, its values, and peace.

Yes, but the Taliban and Isis-K hate the U.S. more than each other so right now I suspect they’re working together against us. Biteme and his generals have made such a mess of this and over 200 people, including Americans, are dead as a result. Damn them.

It's all tribal. They hate everyone that's not them and they hate each other. They hate. It's what totalitarians do.

As poster #1 advised, when you get to the bottom line all those militant groups in Afghanistan are Islamist Terrorists who are adherents of Islamic Sharia law who believe that the entire world, including the USA, should be ruled in accordance with Islamic Sharia law and in that respect that their God wants them to do their best to convert the entire world to Islam. Also in that respect they have no problem killing all infidels ( people who are not Muslims) found in any Islamic Caliphate and that includes all members of the US Armed Forces.

So the Washington Post is signaling the rest of the corrupt Mainstream Media that this angle can help talk away the utter incompetence of Team Biden?

But the Taliban sprang them from prison two weeks ago. The Taliban and ISIS-K are NOT enemies. This is clearly a new narrative from the Biden administration. We cannot believe anything coming from them. The Taliban is using ISIS to give them deniability for all the killings. Don't fall for this garbage.

I heard an expert on the BBC say that ISIS-K is the worst of the worst terrorists.

I have been wondering if 0bama’s ISIS is really in Afghanistan, or if them being there is really just a false flag operation by JoeBama , the spy agencies and the media, to give the Taliban cover for their own atrocities, so that Joe can claim that their deal with him is still in effect.
Tin hat, I know... But if I was an evil person trying to destroy the nation and civilization in general, thats a trick I'd try to pull.

The comments here are spot on. Since 911 we have been bombarded with “this group, that group; they do this, the other does that” gobbledygook. It’s meant to keep government and contract analysts on the dole for their work which mainly covers for military leadership which can’t seem to find the physical, mental, and dare I say spiritual wherewithal to fight a war against a global enemy. Expect more of this think tank crap as our people there are abandoned, and the flags shrug there shoulders and pull an Alfred E. Newman. They should all be tried and shot.

They'll only be enemies when the US is gone. How would either group know if their group was infiltrated from the other side. each group knows exactly what the other group is doing. Should a 3 or 4 way civil war in that mess of a country when we leave.

ISIS-K was founded in Pakistan by a Pakistani who has since been killed. I found this to be a very informative article as most of the content came from Amira Jadoon, an assistant professor at the U. S. Military Academy, who has written extensively on ISIS-K. Never mind that this is at the WaPo. I found it to be quite informative and sans propaganda..
