Biden Can’t Stand Prosperity

During an interview with William F. Buckley in 1977, Margaret Thatcher described the difference between American and British politics in this way: “American politics are very different [from Britain’s] because you have two parties based on a free society … and economic freedom. We have one party based on that … and another based on socialism.” Sadly, Thatcher’s observation about American politics is no longer true. A new Fox News poll shows that 59 percent of registered Democrats have a positive view of socialism. If you wonder why “moderate” President Biden has lurched so far to the left — it’s because it’s what his base wants.

So long as the steaming heap of used Alpo inhabits the White House, America is in great danger! What with an "Affirmative Action" Secy of Defense and a cowardly incompetent, but socially responsible, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Venezuela could probably kick our collective butts.

I disagree. BiteMe is being told what to do and say by his handlers who march in lockstep with BLM, Antifa and the LGBTQ mafia and are dragging the vast majority of the Democrat party with them. The Left will need to manufacture millions more votes in 2022 to cover normal sane Democrat voters who will vote Republican. Watch for new record vote totals next year.

A minority of Americans think they want socialism. Fine, they can have it, just not here. There is no argument against communism that is more convincing than living in one. Bye

The left is all for prosperity, for themselves. They most hate that the rest of us believe that we can join in and become among the prosperous. We must be convinced that the deck is stacked against us and that the only "fair" shake we can get comes from government with them in charge. It's really that damned simple.

Biden doesn’t even know if he’s wearing clothes. He spends his day sitting around drooling until they clean him up, put him front of a camera, then whisk him away so he doesn’t say or do something else stupid, He certainly isn’t making policy.

The utterly nauseating and unnecessary abandonment of Afghanistan to its fate recalls a similar humiliation at the hands of Islamist radicals in the Jimmy Carter administration. President Biden’s profligate spending policies are unleashing inflation that is sparking voter distrust so noticeable that even NPR is sounding the alarm. He is begging OPEC to come up with more oil while interfering with US production. He announced barely a month ago, with great confidence, “The Taliban is not the South — the North Vietnamese army. They’re not — they’re not remotely comparable in terms of capability. “There’s going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Wednesday that President Biden won’t release visitor logs from his Delaware residences, despite making 17 trips home in six months. The decision comes despite the Biden administration’s claim to "restore transparency and trust in government" — including with the resumption of limited release of White House visitor logs. "I can confirm we are not going to be providing information about the comings and goings of the president’s grandchildren or people visiting him in Delaware," Psaki said at her daily press briefing in response to a question from The Post about whether Biden would release visitor logs, including of relatives with potential conflicts of interest.CORRECTION*
Why did Larry Elder call me for advice? 2 replies

The emergence of 69-year-old talk show host Larry Elder as the leading candidate to depose California’s Gavin Newsom is both odd and significant. Elder is no one’s idea of a politician, and when he called me for advice at the start of his run, I was perplexed. I thought Larry had it all — the nest egg, nice house, successful career. Newsom, who I once described as Governor Preen, and his operatives in and out of the media, have already started attacking Elder. Under the talk show host, they claim, abortion rights will be restricted and the state’s crusade against climate change and social justice will be hampered.

One down. One to go. Now that Andrew Cuomo has resigned, his brother, Chris, must be next. They are, after all, both guilty of gross ethics violations. Before his “long-planned vacation” this week, it has been positively Orwellian to watch, night after night, CNN’s highest-rated primetime host blatantly ignore this huge, developing bombshell of a story, simply because he’d rather not — while informing upper management that he would continue to advise his brother, who also faces criminal charges and civil lawsuits.

Andrew Cuomo has announced his resignation as governor of the state of New York. This came on the heels of a damning New York Attorney General’s report detailing sexual harassment and sexual assault allegations against numerous women. Before his announcement on Tuesday, CBS News reported a state senator revealed that all 63 members of the state’s senate “were likely to vote for his removal.” Like President Richard Nixon, Mr. Cuomo’s resignation has nothing to do with him suddenly developing a conscience. Suppose he had one. None of this would’ve happened in the first place. What we get instead is a man who resigned because impeachment could bar

President Joe Biden is having a quiet week, but the decline in his popularity may be problematic for Democrats if it proves to be more than a summer slump. Biden's surprisingly steady approval ratings are starting to crater, though his disapproval numbers have consistently climbed during the first six months of his administration. That is a foreboding trend for Democrats before the 2022 midterm elections when the party is clinging onto power with slim majorities in the House and Senate.Barely half of the country approves of Biden's job as president, his lowest average rating since his January inauguration, according to FiveThirtyEight. That number is down from a 55% high in March.

A contagion is ravaging the Democratic Party, destroying the credibility of its leaders and scaring away its supporters. It is the deadly Hypocrisy Variant. The most prominent Democratic carriers of this infectious strain of duplicity are former President Barack Obama, President Joe Biden, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Less significant Democrats who have tested positive for the Hypocrisy Variant are Rep. Cory Bush (D-Mo.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and the Texas Democrats who fled their state in order to hobble the democratic process.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) urged Americans to resist potential forthcoming lockdown measures, saying that the country could not go back to the state that it was in last year. In a video that he posted to his Twitter account on Sunday that closely resembled an op-ed he wrote for Fox News last week, Paul said, “It’s time for us to resist.”“They can’t arrest all of us. They can’t keep all of your kids home from school. They can’t keep every government building closed – although I’ve got a long list of ones they might keep closed or might ought to keep closed,” Paul said.

When midterm elections loom just around the corner, most presidents push populist policies to lure Independent votes as a means of retaining their party’s majority in Congress. President Biden, however, seems to be doing everything to push middle-ground voters away. It’s almost hard to believe that Biden wants his party to retain control of Congress at all, given his performance so far. While the administration celebrates saving families 16 cents on Independence Day barbecues, American families face the harsh realities of misguided government priorities.

The summer in a president’s first year of office is often the moment the novelty wears off, and the limits to what’s possible come more clearly into view. It was when Bill Clinton, after a dreadful start, came crashing down to earth at 39 percent approval; when George W Bush fell to 50 percent (before 9/11), Obama was sideswiped by the Tea Party, and Trump collapsed in the early polling. It’s not dispositive, as all these examples prove. Presidents can recover from rough starts to two-term successes. And Biden has large public, bipartisan support on infrastructure (65 - 28) and his massive social spending proposal (62 - 32)

After months of repeated appeals from pollsters, consultants, and former officials, Congressional Democrats finally appear to be hearing the warnings that their party and their message is not resonating with voters. But with the party still firmly in the grip of radical progressive politicians and donors, Democrats may have already sealed their fate for 2022.According to a new poll commissioned by the party’s own campaign arm, the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee, Democrats are trailing Republicans by 6 points on a generic ballot among likely voters in swing districts. Those results, particularly on the economy, which 55%

John R. President Joe Biden delivered a speech of quiet fury at the White House on Monday, defending his decision to bring home U.S. troops before blaming Afghan leaders for their failure to prevent the country collapsing. 'I stand squarely behind my decision,' Biden said. 'After 20 years I've learned the hard way. That there was never a good time to withdraw U.S. forces.' It was the first time the president had spoken publicly about the unfolding crisis in six days. He was forced to return from Camp David amid hostile headlines about his absence from Washington while Americans were being rescued from Kabul airport.

Fauci said, “What’s coming next is that we are going to have to continue to get people vaccinated so that right now, even in states in which you have a good relative proportion of people vaccinated, you have to get the overwhelming proportion of people vaccinated. But you also have to do mitigation. And that gets to the controversial issue of mask-wearing and the mandating of things mandating of vaccines,

President Joe Biden will remain hidden at his presidential retreat at Camp David through Monday, according to the White House, as the Taliban swiftly seized control of Afghanistan. The president’s daily guidance for Monday indicated Biden would remain at Camp David for at least one more day, with no public events scheduled. But a senior administration official indicated to reporters Sunday evening that Biden might address the country “in the next few days,” according to reports. It remains unclear whether Biden will speak from Camp David or return to the White House to deliver his speech, the reports noted. He was previously scheduled to remain at Camp David until Wednesday.

Joe Biden and his media acolytes call him Mr. Empathy and Mr. Compassion. His Afghanistan speech yesterday told a different story, and should end that phony spin forever. My takeaway was how cold, and hard, and compassionless Biden was as he sought to extricate himself from the catastrophe of his own making. He blamed everyone but himself for his failure, particularly the Afghan army. He smarmily assured terrified Afghanis left behind he'd now speak out for their human rights instead of actually protect them. He effectively told U.S. servicemembers their service was for nothing. It was appalling.

Although the White House had intended to keep Biden under wraps for as long as possible, the demand that he say something – anything – about the unfolding debacle in Afghanistan forced him to leave Camp David for a 20-minute statement, after which he refused to take any questions. The important part of what he said boils down to one sentence: We had to leave and everything that went wrong was Trump’s or the Afghans' fault. Biden is a craven coward, a feckless fool, a dismal dummy, and a man who will soon have more blood on his hands than a thousand Lady Macbeths.
