Pfizer's Covid vaccine is only 42% effective against Indian 'Delta' variant while Moderna's jab is 76% effective, Mayo Clinic study suggests

The current crop of COVID-19 vaccines may not be as effective against the Indian 'Delta' variant compared to the original strain of the virus, a new study suggests. Researchers from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, found that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine—the most commonly used shot in the U.S.—was only 42 percent effective against infection in July. Meanwhile, the Moderna vaccine was only 76 percent effective. The highly contagious Delta variant is the dominant strain in the U.S., and there are fears that it has a unique ability to cause breakthrough cases among those who are fully vaccinated. There is also growing conversation about booster shots

Comments:

The vax peddlers say the shots work, except against "the new variant," of which a new type is always around the corner, just like the flu. PPfizer said all along that they anticipate billions of dollars in annual revenue from regular boosters, also just like flu shots. Or you could avoid the shot, take sensible precautions, have the exact same risk of catching and transmitting the covid, and probably the same risk of serious disease too, and sidestep the nasty side effects the MSM is hiding.

In all past pandemics, the pathogen steadily mutates to become less lethal, and simultaneously, the host species becomes more resistant. There is no reason to think that this one will be any different. It looks like their "cases" boogey man is because "deaths" aren't actually very significant. That seems like the virus may have already mutated to be less lethal. Trending in the right direction. Now if we could get all docs to actually start early treatment.....

It's interesting that the factual numbers that I and a few million others wish to know never seem to be addressed by any official medical source and that is: the effectiveness rate of natural antibodies possessed by those who have recovered from COVID against the current strains. It could be further broken down by analyzing the average antibody count per milliliter of blood of those who have been re-infected and further among that group, their vaccination rate. The vaccine side effect rates, by manufacturer, of the COVID recovered who took the needle is essential information not being made available, as well. That would seem to be very useful, if not dispositive information for individuals as well as institutions still weighing the vaccine pros and cons. Ignoring the large cohort of the Covid recovered is scientific malfeasance at its worst. It absolutely criminal that our politicians and federal institutions, such as the CDC, don't appear the least bit interested in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on critical clinical data that doesn't track with their predetermined and patently dishonest narrative.

#1 that would be all well and good but I think Covid-19 was genetically engineered to mutate stronger not weaker.

Someone please help an old man's memory here, but I remember these vaccines being touted to lessen the severity of covid 19's effects, not to prevent being infected. There have been many cases cited where "vaccined" persons have contracted the virus anyway.

Now how can this be? All the Vax Karens, CDC and others tell us that the vaccine is the Holy Grail against Delta, and that you have to get the shot for the good of your fellow mankind. Let's see. 42% effectivity, you can still catch and transmit COVID, and die from it even though you are fully vaccinated. But, it is 100% effective at enriching Pfizer and many others in the medical industry. And if a few thousand die because they got the clot shot, oh well... Does that about cover it?

Health officials and politicians put their thumbs on the scale with a treatment plan that benefits everyone (big tech, big pharma, Wall Street, media, hospitals, etc.) except you. The officially approved "treatment" plan calls for NO treatment until you are sick enough to go to a hospital whereupon conventional medical treatments that could result in your death will be applied and the hospital then gets an extra 13K from the government. The disease (and death/cases stats) have become a political football - everyone is watching to see if/where it will next land. EDUCATE YOURSELF ON THE GROUND GAME. There are front-line doctors in this country and around the world - who are successfully treating the actual disease; along with truth-speaking medical researchers, medical inventors and virologists. Stay up to date with AAPS and FLCC reports, studies, scientific analysis of what is actually happening on the ground. Refuse to internalize politicized, media-generated panic or fear. Follow reasonable CDC guidelines, search out the real science and the true stats; know the truth. BE PREPARED: Four inexpensive protocols and prophylactic treatment therapy have been developed for use at home, outpatient, in-hospital and long-term effects from the disease itself. https://covid19criticalcare.com/covid-19-protocols/i-mask-plus-protocol/ . Get the pdf's of each treatment protocol. Research the recommended products. Find a doctor(s) in your area who are honoring their Hippocratic Oath and treating the disease. With access to a caring, knowledgeable physician who will prescribe a readily available, inexpensive, effective treatment, you will be at peace. Don't you think that is better than living in constant fear?? Freedom is not in a mask or a needle. It is in knowing that the disease can be treated/cured. More Americans (vac'd and unvac'd) must know how they can either avoid getting sick or be successfully treated afterward. If moved to do so, share what you learn with your family and friends. Do your part to end the pandemic. :-) PRAY FOR OUR NATION: God works through people. If you believe in the power of prayer, please ask Him to raise up more brave truth speakers, to protect all of them, their platforms, resources, families and hover over the supply chains. The voice of TRUTH must prevail over lies and deceit. Amen.

I don't doubt that they would if they could, #3, but since mutations are random literal 'typographical errors' in the RNA replication process, no way for anyone to control mutation any more than control their typing errors. When DNA is damaged, via accidental processes, it has a backup copy. You might have heard DNA called a "double helix". There are two strands to DNA, spiraling around each other....each one a backup copy of the other. Lose a chunk and a repair enzyme fills the missing piece back in by looking across at the duplicate. RNA is a single strand....damage accumulates, can't be fixed, no second strand. RNA is only used for short term temporary stuff inside cells. Viruses which RNA as their only genetic materials are therefore inherently unstable.....can't fix the errors, so the sequence of RNA 'drifts' or accumulates errors over time as it is 'retyped' again and again. I can't imagine being any way to control a future random error process by the nasty ChiCom folks who made this thing. They can make the original, but can't guide the future errors.

Ooooo, the vaccines aren't working. WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!! Lock that !!!!!!! down! That's the real message being put out for COVID. Must have a panic to have a lockdown, and need a lockdown to stay in power. This is all about power and control, and has very little to do with science and medicine.

Soon the Indian virus cases will peak and start falling. This is the normal trajectory of every pandemic. Left alone it will mostly go away. The same strategy should have been used with the original virus--protect the most vulnerable and let the virus run its course. All of the mitigations like lockdowns, just prolonged it.

The scientists also gave evidence that masks had adverse psychological impacts, including causing anxiety and inhibiting the development of communication skills.(Snip)In Britain, school children under the age of 12 have never been required to wear masks

The White House on Wednesday called on OPEC and its allies to boost oil production as gas prices continue to climb, threatening the nation’s economic recovery. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said in a statement the administration has spoken with OPEC members urging the group to increase production. OPEC, which stands for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, reached an agreement last month with its non-OPEC allies, known as OPEC+, to increase oil production by 400,000 barrels per day. But Mr. Sullivan said that isn’t enough to bolster the oil supply. “While OPEC+ recently agreed to production increases, these increases will not fully offset previous production cuts
