Arkansas law school feeling heat after
naming professorship for Bill Clinton

The time-honored tradition of naming a law professorship after a famous scholar or donor has gone off the rails a bit at a University of Arkansas law school — and the twist involves none other than the would-be honoree himself, former President Bill Clinton. Newly released records show the scandal-plagued former president had withdrawn his approval for a teaching chair to be named after himself at the William H. Bowen School of Law. Yet emeritus professor John DiPippa, who has held the post since it was first endowed in 2000, recently dubbed it the Clinton chair anyway.

Comments:

If you want to see how leftists burnish their own to alter history, this is a text-book case. I know everyone involved.

Always good to name a law chair after a perjuror, and a person that lost their law license, or had it suspended.

The incoming Justice Department civil rights chief has a history of opposing civil rights prosecutions of black defendants, opposing a complaint against an African-American Democratic leader who discriminated against white voters. As an NAACP lawyer, Kristen Clarke lambasted the Justice Department for bringing a complaint against an African-American party boss in Mississippi who worked to suppress white votes, according to a federal probe. On a separate occasion, a federal oversight commission investigated claims that Clarke worked with allies at the Justice Department to quash the prosecution of the Black Panthers who menaced voters outside a Philadelphia precinct in 2008.

(snip) At about the 15-minute mark of the recording, a reporter asks (according to Norman’s restatement of the hard-to-hear question, “If the no-mask counties would start masking, would it (blue line) drop, and would it dip down below the mask counties.” Norman said, “I think it would.” But the chart was consciously manipulated to produce that appearance by comparing the same data (cases per day) on different axes.

Blue hydrogen has “no role in a carbon-free future” – and is actually up to 20% worse for the planet than burning gas or coal to produce heat, according to what is claimed as a landmark academic study. In the week that the United Nations declared “code red for humanity” over the climate emergency, researchers from Cornell and Stanford universities in the US branded the blue variety of hydrogen beloved of the fossil fuel sector as a “distraction” that could divert focus away from genuinely green technologies. Blue H2, produced using natural gas with carbon capture and storage (CCS), is a key plank of the energy transition strategies

YouTube also banned Paul from its platform for a week. “We removed content from Senator Paul’s channel for including claims that masks are ineffective in preventing the contraction or transmission of COVID-19, in accordance with our COVID-19 medical misinformation policies,” YouTube said in a public statement. Notably, YouTube’s policy cites the World Health Organization and “local authorities” as its source of what’s correct about COVID-19.
