Joseph Bolanos was a pillar of his community. President of his Upper West Side block association for the past 23 years, he looked out for his neighbors during the pandemic. He dropped off masks and kept extra heaters in his rent-controlled apartment for seniors. He raised morale with a weekly street dance to show his support for essential workers.

Comments:

This is "our" modern-day FBI. Burn it down, salt the ground.

Those responsible are NOT being prosecuted! The ones responsible are the FBI informants and undercover agents! The people they duped are being persecuted by the deep state. Anyone who attended that rally is now a target for the left. We now have political prisoners in D.C. jails being held in conditions worse than Gitmo. As a former member of law enforcement, I am sickened by what I am seeing and worse yet, the silence of the Republican Representatives is deafening! They learned nothing from President Trump!

Why don't we just rename the FBI and call it what it really is. The LBBI (Lavrenti Beria Bureau of Interrogation).

Sue the individuals in the FBI that are doing this. Get names and sue the hell out of them. Once it starts going to court, and they are successful with the law suit, it will stop. Fight back.

I hope Mr. Bolanos turns into a life long Republican after this experience. Otherwise take names, keep records whenever you come in contact with the FBI. A day of reckoning is not far off.

Okay Miranda - spare us your outrage at the violence that day and it's PERSECUTION not prosecution taking place against those wrongly arrested.

To the person who said 99% of agents are hardworking, honest people. Think again, really think this time, and you'll come up with a lower number.

Its absolutely disgusting and scary that he was turned in by a neighbor who said he boasted about being at the rally. Is this what we have comee to under the illegal, corrupt Biden regime? This sounds a lot likke what happened to Germans who criticised Hitler or Russians who were turned in because someone overheard the telling of a Stalin joke. SCARY! I have lost all faith in the American Communist, Soviet, Nazi government.

The FBI has become the exact same thing that the KGB was in the USSR. They are political thugs. Laws mean nothing.

“My lawyer has given me names of books and movies to help me see what life is like for others in our country. I’ve learned that even though we live in a wonderful country things still need to improve. People of all colors should feel as safe as I do to walk down the street.” That passage is part book report, part white privilege mea culpa submitted to a federal court this month by Anna Morgan-Lloyd, one of the more than 500 Americans arrested for her involvement in the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

United States Capitol Police Officer Brian D. Sicknick passed away due to injuries sustained while on-duty,” read a press release issued January 7. The incoming Justice Department civil rights chief has a history of opposing civil rights prosecutions of black defendants, opposing a complaint against an African-American Democratic leader who discriminated against white voters. As an NAACP lawyer, Kristen Clarke lambasted the Justice Department for bringing a complaint against an African-American party boss in Mississippi who worked to suppress white votes, according to a federal probe. On a separate occasion, a federal oversight commission investigated claims that Clarke worked with allies at the Justice Department to quash the prosecution of the Black Panthers who menaced voters outside a Philadelphia precinct in 2008.

The Supreme Court late Wednesday temporarily blocked Gov. Andrew Cuomo from setting capacity limits at houses of worship in certain state-designated coronavirus hot spots. In a 5-4 decision, the nation’s highest court sided with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn and Orthodox Jewish synagogues that sued the governor over the state-imposed caps in areas declared red and orange zones. “Even in a pandemic, the Constitution cannot be put away and forgotten.”

KDHE Secretary Lee Norman shared a COVID case chart with media this week, which he said shows the counties that abided by Governor Kelly’s mask mandate are ‘winning the battle.’ But he deceptively doctored the chart to justify mask mandates. (snip) At about the 15-minute mark of the recording, a reporter asks (according to Norman’s restatement of the hard-to-hear question, “If the no-mask counties would start masking, would it (blue line) drop, and would it dip down below the mask counties.” Norman said, “I think it would.” But the chart was consciously manipulated to produce that appearance by comparing the same data (cases per day) on different axes.

Worried about loose rules amid a surge in the coronavirus crisis, Democrats have urged the National Park Service to stop or slow the reopening of facilities, citing concerns about the safety of employees, visitors, and neighboring communities. That is, except one: California Rep. TJ Cox.... In emails shared by the Interior Department with the House Natural Resources Committee, Cox’s staff sought two vehicle passes of the 340 available to the public for July 4. When he was told he’d have to wait in line like others, he pushed for “preferential treatment” to get them, according to a letter calling for an Interior Department investigation.

This story is actually being urged upon me, and I find myself a bit conflicted. At first, I tried to find a reason to sympathize with whatever predicament the FBI Agents found themselves that caused them to kneel down. There is conflicting reporting about whether the Agents kneeled in order to minimize the potential for confrontation with a much larger group of protesters who were calling for them to do so, or whether the Agents were, in fact, demonstrating sympathy for the views being expressed by the protesters.
