President Biden’s troubled son Hunter did not mince words in responding to critics of the stunning prices that his paintings have been fetching. On the “Nota Bene: This Week in the Art World” podcast, the issue came up when the host began “You seem to have good spirits around the crazed narrative around your paintings. How do you- what’s the response to the people who are coming after the prices of the work, the collectors, what is your response to that?” Biden responded to the favorably phrased question angrily, “Other than f***’em?” he shot back. Biden’s paintings have been selling for as much as $500,000, the 51-year-old man

Comments:

He says his artwork is worth $10.

Nothing can hold him back from being the classy guy that he is. Not expulsion from military guard, not screwing his dead brother’s widow, not taking up with a stripper, getting her pregnant and denying paternity until he was forced to do so, not his questionable deals with shady people (some in his very own family) and not telling people in the course vernacular of the day what to do (who think he is an abject dolt)-nothing can stop the classy behavior. He learned that at home growing up, I think. Class begets class.

Just finished reading “Blue Smoke and Murder” by Elizabeth Lowell. It was written several years ago but seems relevant today. With the “worth” of art resting in the eye of the beholder, the author exposes a world of manipulation and deceit I knew nothing about. It was a quick read and an enjoyable way of learning a bit about a topic I didn’t realize WAS a topic until I read the novel.

He knows that as long as his senile old man is in the White House, no one will touch him. He's gotten away with so much in the past, he thinks he's invincible. Just a matter of time before, like so many addicts before him, he relapses again. It doesn't matter how long they've been sober, there's always that risk.

What do you think would be the press reaction if one of President Trump’s kids spoke this way? Sometimes the double-standard is breathtaking, suffocating. Does the media-liberal-intellectual mandate ever examine their own premises? …Just heard from a friend who’s never heard of Hunter Biden’s laptop. Most people are too caught up in living their lives for anything but a cursory look at the news, and between the big three, PBS and CNN they figure they’ve got most of the story. And of course that’s what the collectivists and global-governance advocates bank on. America gets the leadership we earn through our education— and our lack of it— and will get the future we deserve. The idiots and the delusional— evidently— outnumber or out-yell the bright and practical. The latter better snap out of it.

Along with her well-noted controversial statements about returning to mask-wearing and a nationally mandated COVID vaccine, the latter of which she walked back to some extent, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director threw out other nutty statements that are worth noting if for nothing else than the fact that Joe Biden says he defers to her and her continuously mistaken bureaucrats at CDC. Is the Joe Biden administration serious about COVID? Doesn't look like it. Fox News, citing a local incident in La Joya, Texas, found that the Border Patrol is releasing COVID-infected illegals into Texas communities to spread the disease. That's a curious thing given that Biden drew headlines for supposedly keeping Title 42 in place, which would require the Border Patrol to instantly expel migrants based on COVID concerns. Based on this kind of news, the order is de facto rescinded whether Biden says so or not. In this Texas case, illegal migrants had been let in and then handed over to the NGO Catholic Charities in La Joya, Texas, which
