India Walton was just 14 when she had her first baby. After leaving a home for young mothers, and quitting high school at 19 when her twins were born, she went on to get her GED (the general educational development test for those who did not complete their schooling), have a fourth child and become a nurse. Now she’s firmly on the path to becoming the mayor of Buffalo, New York–the first socialist mayor elected to a US city since 1960, when mayor Frank Zeidler of Milwaukee, Wisconsin left office.(Snip)When asked to what she attributed her success, Walton said: “The struggle. Her story "resonates" with other people who believe they are entitled to make one irresponsible choice after another, then have the taxpayers pick up the resulting bills. Unfortunately, there are enough of them in Buffalo to elect her.

Buffalo NY has a census of ~255,000 in 2021. That's down 2.6%. It has a poverty rate of 30.1%. Median income is just north of $37,000. Sounds like a socialist will do just great there. A dying city with a deadend mayor is a perfect recipe for failure.

As a much younger person and musician, one of my bands played in Buffalo at a club named "The Inferno" Totally fitting name for a dump of a town. Sounds like it is going to get even worse now. Why are so many leftist idiots and traitors running so many formerly American cities now. And running them and their unfortunate citizens into the ground or worse?

I don't know where to start. Buffalo is the victim already of long term democrat rule. It has been driven into the ground already. There is nothing left to take, the democrats stole it already. Entry level socialists NEED an existing prosperity to plunder in order to produce a temporary improvement of conditions for the "workers". Buffalo has no prosperity available for this ignorant "socialist" to steal. It's all gone. She, and Buffalo, are doomed. That city needs a raging capitalist.

A “major gang war” between ruthless Bronx crews that are fearless of cops has left a 13-year-old boy and two other teens dead in just the past five days, law-enforcement sources told The Post on Monday. “We can’t keep them in [jail], and they’re going after each other," a high-ranking police source said, referring to juvenile suspects who end up back on the streets after being sent to family court instead of being prosecuted as adults. A city prosecutor added, “They don’t go to jail, so they do robberies, get in fights and carry guns. The first teen to die in the bloody gang-fueled

The U.N. human rights chief on Monday demanded comprehensive reparations be made to compensate countries that have suffered what she called the deadly legacies of slavery, colonial rule and racial discrimination. Former Chilean Socialist President Michelle Bachelet presented to the U.N. Human Rights Council a report she hopes will change the definition of racism and highlight its impact. It comes after her intervention last month calling on the world to immediately dismantle systemic racism against people of African descent and “make amends” to the oppressed while groups like Black Lives Matter should receive “funding, public recognition and support.” Others have also joined her demands for massive financial redistributions
