Nikole Hannah-Jones, founder of the discredited “1619 Project,” has rejected a tenured position at her alma mater, the University of North Carolina (UNC) Chapel Hill. Instead, she will join Ta-Nehisi Coates, a former columnist at The Atlantic, at one of America’s most prestigious Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Howard University. Hannah-Jones argued that the controversy over her hiring and tenure had more to do with racism and sexism than her outright lies about American history.
“It’s pretty clear that my tenure was not taken up because of political opposition, because of discriminatory views against my viewpoints and, I believe, because of my race and my gender,”
Who rejected who?

She can do more damage at Howard by teaching and institutionalizing victimhood.

Crying and moaning about her race.
Don't these black racists have anything better to do.?
Don't they ever get anything but race off their minds?
Ya know --I know a lot of blacks who live very good lives without crying every day.

Sickening to read about these twisted Marxist creep women of some “color”
They hide their racist hatred for us behind their “color”
I for one am not taking their hatred and hypocrisy and total historical ignorance any more! Take your hysterics to Liberia!

The publicity is worth more to her than any teaching position. It's much more valuable to be a victim.

She was correct up to "...against my viewpoints", the rest is nothing more than hyperbole;
one would think an educated woman wouldn't fall for the "victimhood" crap
As long as she keeps thinking that way & spewing that garbage, she - nor anyone she teaches - will never amount to any more than now. BUT she WILL DO DAMAGE, she will see to that!

Isn't tenure earned after getting X number of published articles and papers covering you main topic of education?
And, she was simply being given a tenured position, right?

I earned my rank of full professor and tenure only after a rigorous evaluation of my credentials, publications, student evaluation of my teaching,. and peer evaluation after my five years at my university..
But then, I'm an old white guy.

People native to this continent before 1620 essentially lost the war. If we honor and give reparations to everybody who lost wars, who will we have to honor and give reparations to?
P.S. Stop sending your precious children to places that teach that nonsense.

This is a Win, Win, Win. Jones doesn't get tenure, UNC's empty gesture is exposed and rejected and we all can forget about the whole trivial matter.

Why would any university/college want to hire someone with Niklole Hannah-Jones admitted unimpressive history of made up historical writings? Her 1619 Project was fake and has been discredited as a a work of fiction. While she might get points for creative writing, she does not get any points for accurate historical writings. Her made up works should disqualify her from any teaching position. Her celebrity and race are the only things protecting her from suffering from the same punishment that any non-Black person would suffer for publishing the same falsehoods. Her academic credentials are like used toilet paper and should be flushed.
