8 arrested, vendor attacked in chaotic
night at Washington Square Park: cops

Rowdy revelers were caught on video beating up a hot dog vendor late Sunday—as all hell broke loose at Washington Square Park, police said. The chaos at the Greenwich Village greenspace resulted in the arrests of eight people, including a woman charged with biting an NYPD lieutenant, cops said Monday morning. But no busts were made in the alleged beatdown of the 65-year-old vendor, who was attacked at Fifth Avenue and Washington Square North just before 11 p.m., according to police. Disturbing video shows several people surrounding the man, in a bright yellow shirt, with one pummeling him in the face and knocking him down.

Comments:

Constant rioting is the new normal thanks to the Marxists, and Real New Yorkers must love it because they stand ready to elect yet another Marxist mayor. Also, hot dog stands hold special significance during Pride Month, which is maybe why the "revelers" decided they needed to assault the vendor and why the police stood by and let it all happen.

I truly don't understand why there are ANY officers still showing up for duty in NYC. They're literally putting their lives on the line over hot dogs. And, should they have the misfortune of a split decision gone tragically wrong, they could be torn from their families and spend their lives in jail.

If you are from anyplace other than New York City common sense will tell you not to go there. If you are from New York City you should know that your life and limbs are in danger anytime you venture out on the streets of that naked city, so good luck. And just think, that City is about to elect another leftist and socialist Democrat Mayor.

Sen. Rand Paul says Americans must not let “the fearmongers win” as rhetoric about the dangers of the Delta variant of COVID-19 heats up. The Kentucky Republican took to Twitter on Tuesday with some statistics on the contagion’s Delta strain, which originated in India. “Don’t let the fearmongers win,” Mr. Paul told his 3.2 million followers. “New public England study of delta variant shows 44 deaths out of 53,822 (.08%) in unvaccinated group. Hmmm.”(Snip) Los Angeles County answered the president’s call, for example, by urging citizens to wear masks inside, even if they are fully vaccinated. “With increase circulation of the highly transmissible delta variant,

President Biden deployed his stage whisper during a speech in Wisconsin on Tuesday as he went about selling his infrastructure deal to the public and outlining plans to give tax breaks to ordinary families. It was a standout moment as he described the urgent need for a 'generational investment' and looked to persuade voters of the economic benefits of a $973 billion bipartisan package.(Snip) He dropped his voice and leaned into the microphone to deliver a conspiratorial word to people watching at home. 'Hey guys, I think it's time to give ordinary people a tax break,' he whispered. 'The wealthy are doing fine.'

A federal judge in Manhattan tossed an indictment against a Bronx shooting suspect because of a lack of racial diversity in the White Plains grand jury pool—the first such ruling since city cases were moved to the suburban county amid the pandemic. Judge Analisa Torres sided with defendant William Scott, who had argued that black and Hispanic people were underrepresented in the grand jury pool that returned an indictment against him in June of last year. Scott was charged with possessing ammunition in connection to a shooting in the Bronx, but was charged in the Southern District of New York’s White Plains division.
