Late-night TV host Stephen Colbert on Wednesday ribbed President Biden’s “Grandpa’s had it with your lip” attitude during his press conference in Geneva. Mr. Biden made headlines Wednesday following his sit-down with Russian President Vladimir Putin after he snapped at CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins, who asked why he was “confident” Mr. Putin would change his behavior.(Snip) Mr. Colbert then stripped off his suit jacket and impersonated Mr. Biden yelling at a reporter.“You watch your tone, mister!” he said. “You knock it off with the grab-a— and the horseplay. This isn’t a dog-and-pony show. Were you born in a barn?

Shocking images show the moment Border Patrol agents thwarted a human smuggling operation in Texas, where they found 33 migrants crammed into a U-Haul in near-100-degree heat. The US Customs and Border Protection agents were alerted about 10 p.m. June 10 to suspicious activity related to a possible human-smuggling scheme near a McDonald’s restaurant in Van Horn, the agency said. They approached two vehicles, a Dodge Journey and the U-Haul box truck, and discovered “33 people who were close to perishing due to excessive heat and lack of fresh air in temperatures still hovering near 100 degrees.”

Squad member, Rep. Cori Bush said on Wednesday night that black Americans now need reparations and 'liberation' after the House approved a bill making Juneteenth a federal holiday known as 'National Independence Day'.(Snip)
'It’s Juneteenth AND reparations. It’s Juneteenth AND end police violence + the War on Drugs. It’s Juneteenth AND end housing + education apartheid. It’s Juneteenth AND teach the truth about white supremacy in our country,' she wrote in a tweet Wednesday night. 'Black liberation in its totality must be prioritized,' the Missouri Democrat encouraged. The fourteen House Republicans voted against the measure for June 19 to become a 'National Independence Day' because

If Catholic politicians who support abortion rights were anxious about being restricted from receiving Holy Communion, they can breathe easier. Such a prohibition is now off the table at Thursday’s U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. “We are no longer proposing a national policy” regarding who may present themselves for Communion, Bishop Kevin Rhoades of Indiana’s Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese told delegates to a virtual USCCB spring meeting. Bishop Rhoades, who chairs the group’s doctrinal committee, conceded the notion “was in the original proposal” for the document, he added, “We never meant it as it’s been interpreted in many media sources.”

A 700-pound statue of George Floyd now sits in front of Newark City Hall. It will remain there for at least a year, as what city officials say they hope will be a reminder of the impact of the Minnesota man’s death. “George Floyd represents a lot more than himself at this juncture in history,” Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka said during a ceremony Wednesday where the statue was unveiled to the public. “Hopefully when people walk by it and they see it…hopefully it inspires them to become active in the struggles that are happening right here in Newark and right here in New Jersey.”

A man whose shocking slur-filled rant against an Asian NYPD cop went viral this month threatened another officer’s family just before the racist attack, newly surfaced video shows. The unidentified man, who’s black, repeatedly called the Asian officer a “ch—k” in a widely circulated video that was filmed in Greenwich Village as protests were held in Washington Square Park on June 5. But new video posted by the Police Benevolent Association union on Wednesday shows the lead-up to that racist exchange—as the man angrily eggs on another cop sitting in a police van.(Snip) “It’s not an isolated incident. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been slammed for sending a 'deranged' email to one of her female staffers berating her for failing to scheduled enough 'office time'. The condescending message was sent by Lightfoot to her then-scheduler Taylor Lewis on January 28, but was only obtained by the Chicago Tribune this week. The paper was investigating reports of high staff turnover at City Hall when they uncovered the 'unhinged' email. The message included sentences which Lightfoot repeated more than a dozen times—apparently in order to really get her point across.(Snip) In the email, Lightfoot continued to patronizingly repeat each sentence she subsequently wrote.

San Francisco has become a shoplifter’s paradise—with thieves like the one caught on video looting a Walgreens emboldened by relaxed punishment for the crime as businesses shutter, cops say. The Walgreens heist, which happened right in front of a security guard, renewed the debate over a controversial city law called Proposition 47. “What happened in that Walgreens has been going on in that city for quite a while,” San Francisco police Lt. Tracy McCray said on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” Wednesday. “I’m used to it,” McCray continued. “I mean, we can have a greatest hits compilation of people just walking in and cleaning out the store
