DHS grants deportation amnesty
for 100,000 Haitians

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced Saturday he was opening a new grant of Temporary Protected Status for Haitians living in the U.S., saying that country’s unrest is so bad that people shouldn’t be forced to return home. Advocacy groups said perhaps 100,000 Haitians living in the U.S.—many of them illegally—can be protected. TPS grants them a deportation amnesty and allows them to obtain legal work permits, Social Security numbers and some taxpayer benefits. “Haiti is currently experiencing serious security concerns, social unrest, an increase in human rights abuses, crippling poverty, and lack of basic resources, which are exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic,”

Comments:

Ah, the pandemic. And yet the Dominican Republic is doing just fine.

Haiti is experiencing security concerns because of people like these 100,000 that won't be deported. Now the US gets to experience the security concerns. Ask Florida horse owners what they think of Haitians. Haiti used to be an interesting but dangerous place for tourism. That was fifty years ago. I can't imagine the kind of danger tourists face now. Thankfully for their immmigrants the US has become the world's zookeeper.

Alejandro Mayorkas could easily have said what he did about Haiti, and include just about all the other underdeveloped countries populated by “people of color” in the entire world. As clearly the long-term political objective of the leftist Democrats in that respect is to use both illegal and legal immigration to flood the USA with foreign “people of color” in order to change and transform USA voter demographics and the politics of the country to that of a minority majority socialist utopia. What we are watching is an irreversible disaster in the making with countries like China and Russia laughing their butts off.

He was diagnosed with the H10N3 strain of bird flu on May 28, but now is in stable condition and preparing to be discharged from the hospital. Biden's plan focuses on two key creators of wealth: homeownership and small business ownership. Under his proposal, the Department of Housing and Urban Development will propose new regulations 'to root out discrimination in the appraisal and homebuying process,' according to a White House fact sheet, in a bid to boost black home ownership. The administration also is seeking to address disparities that result in black-owned homes being appraised at tens of thousands of dollars less

Tallahassee, Fla.—The Biden administration is urging a federal court to dismiss a lawsuit that could stand in the way of states like Florida in allowing prescription drugs to be imported from Canada. In a legal brief filed Friday, the White House argues that the lawsuit filed on behalf of U.S. pharmaceutical companies was premature because the federal government has yet to approve any importation programs. The administration’s legal filing came on the same day Florida’s Republican governor, who is considering a run for the White House in 2024, called on the Biden administration to approve its drug importation application.

Kimberly Hewitt noticed them playing outside Cuney Homes when she arrived on the anniversary of George Floyd's killing and feared the deaths of Black people were starting to seem too normal. Florida is threatening to slap cruise lines with tens of thousands of dollars in fines for requiring passengers to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination—uncomfortably wedging the sector between a federal mandate and the state’s sensibility.
