Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has threatened to veto the state legislature's budget after Democrats blocked the GOP's new voting rights bill by walking out of the House chamber in the middle of the night.'I will veto Article 10 of the budget passed by the legislature. Article 10 funds the legislative branch. No pay for those who abandon their responsibilities. Stay tuned', Abbott tweeted on Monday. He made the announcement after the Democrats staged the dramatic walkout pass Sunday night that stopped the new bill from reaching his desk for approval. The article states that Dems believe the bill would suppress the vote. We welcome all eligible voters to vote. It's just the large numbers of dead, fictional and out of state democrat votes that need to be stopped. My father voted straight republican all of his life. Since he died four years ago he has been voting straight Democrat.

Abbott can be a little wishy-washy at times. But, for the most part, he is a pretty consistent conservative. I really do hope he follows through on this, and keeps them off the payroll until they pass the voting rights bill in the special session!!!

#8, That is a political decision. The parties want candidates from two states so they can possibly carry them both. Quite frankly, if things don’t change, it won’t matter a whit where you are from. The conclusion is a done deal. Abbott knows this and is trying to ensure the election is fair.

An event to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the Tulsa race massacre was suddenly canceled after the three surviving victims demanded $1 million to appear and $50 million donated to a reparations fund. Singer John Legend was to host the event with the keynote address given by Georgia race activist Stacey Abrams.
