Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey introduced his plan for dealing with a significant uptick in violence in the city during a news conference Monday. "We're standing here with a very clear message and that message is: the status quo cannot prevail," Frey said. (snip) The plan involves bringing in federal partners to help investigate gun crimes, creating a task force to focus on violent "hot spots" and putting millions of dollars into a "safety fund" for community partners.

Community is the left's code word for communist. When you see that word, you know you are going to the one paying for it, with the left setting all the rules.

Here's my plan, back the police. Pay them a good salary. Lock up the criminals. There, just saved you a 'safety fund.'

Atlanta has also suffered a huge spike in violent crime. Just today there was a major gunfight between two groups in different vehicles on the move like some old gangster movie. There were injuries but no deaths reported (yet). But get this, the illustrious Mayor Bottoms is calling it the “covid crime wave” in an attempt to spin it away from the real cause when in truth her administration’s anti-police rhetoric has emboldened the usual criminal demographic.

These progressives wanted the cities to burn so they would have the excuse to nationalize the police It will be swift from this point forward watch forit!!

The Mayor consulted with his friends in the Somalian community. They volunteered to bring a little bit of Somalia to Minneapolis and have War Lords divide up the city and patrol it for "safety" with their gangs. Perps will be shot on sight.

What did he say? It sounds like more BS coming out of a high school Social Studies class. Why not hire more police and let them do their job instead of spouting this pablum? Frey thinks he’s still in some liberal arts college ivory tower.

The first Minneapolis election campaign since the death of George Floyd is dominated by questions over the future of public safety in the city. Activists on both sides of the debate are working behind the scenes to influence the message and the policy coming out of City Hall. A global group whose lobbying arm is funding a campaign to replace the Minneapolis Police Department reached out in recent months to City Council members who pledged to fulfill that same goal. The Girl Scouts have an unusual problem this year: 15 million boxes of unsold cookies. The 109-year-old organization says the coronavirus — not thinner demand for Thin Mints — is the main culprit. As the pandemic wore into the spring selling season, many troops nixed their traditional cookie booths for safety reasons. "This is unfortunate, but given this is a girl-driven program and the majority of cookies are sold in-person, it was to be expected," said Kelly Parisi, a spokeswoman for Girl Scouts of the USA.

As we reported, she was met by protesters, when she went to Guatemala, telling her to “Go Home.” Now, as she visits El Paso, Texas, protesters are out there for her photo op in the area. But I’m thinking that wasn’t the photo op that she wanted. The Hispanic, Trump-supporting group of protesters also gifted her with a new nickname, “Que mala,” which would translate to “how mean,” or “how bad.” A great, short expression of “how bad” she and Joe Biden have been for the border — and for the country in general.
