Inflation is a regressive tax on the middle class and the poor. It destroys real income in order to reduce the real cost of debt service — until creditors revolt, and demand an extra risk premium for lending to profligate governments. Below is my most recent column at Asia Times: US inflation explodes in April with worse to come US inflation is set to explode after massive fiscal stimulus measures. This inflation hysteria is nonsense. If you really think that the USA has double digit inflation then go borrow money at 2%, BofA is happy to oblige. The money that you pay it back with will be worth far less and the banks will lose money on your loan and you will make money. Everything today is reported as a crisis, an emergency, hysteria. What we are seeing is supply shortages caused by changing consumer behavior and Covid disruption. Rising oil prices will also drive some inflation, and of course gross government overspending, but until the 10 year Treasury hits 5% there is no inflation boogeyman, er, boogeyperson.

Part of the Used car surge is the fact that new cars can't be manufactured without microchips which are scarce. So people are buying used cars with less age and mileage as the ones they have. Another reason to bring back manufacturing home. Those chips are made off-shore. Idiots allowed that.

Wrong, Goldman. The ideology of the Bolsheviks, which led to communism, was embraced by less than ten percent of the populace. They achieved their objectives through intimidation tactics. The latter is what is coming to this country. As far as I am concerned, the hacking of the Colonial pipeline was an inside job. The Left wants to blame Russia. I dont believe anything coming out of the mouths of Xiden's regime.

Flooding the economy with trillions of dollars tends to make prices go up. A perfect example is student loan debt. Give loans to anyone with a heartbeat and colleges start looking like spas with administrators and professors raking it in. The same thing happened in the housing market back in 2008. Give loans to people working at McDonalds to buy McMansions and the price of houses sky rocket ... until it doesn't anymore.

The Treason Party’s Swiss Banker 1 reply

The Nazis had a Swiss banker and so do the Democrats. During President Trump’s first year in office, Indivisible, which the New York Times had described as a left-wing version of the Tea Party, launched a smear campaign falsely accusing President Trump of being subject to Russian foreign financial influence. “Is Trump colluding with Russia?" the leftist group insinuated. "Until we see Trump’s tax returns, we cannot be certain that foreign governments don’t have leverage over Trump.” Indivisible repeated this slander a few years later when it held a “Nobody is Above the Law Day”, and demanded “full and total transparency” from Trump even while refusing to name its backers. The leftist group

Last month, the faculty senate at Pennsylvania State University passed a resolution urging the school to erase certain words from its lexicon, due to the supposedly problematic legacy of the “typically male-centered world” out of which the terms grew. The resolution aims at gendered pronouns such as “he/him/his” and “she/her/hers,” but it also demonizes the four iconic terms for a person’s years in college (and, often, high school): “freshman,” “sophomore,” “junior,” and “senior.” “The University, as with most all academic institutions world-wide, has grown out of a typically male-centered world. As such, many terms in our lexicon carry a strong, male-centric,

In Florida, 30 percent of 7,564 stations were out of fuel as of 6 a.m. Central Time. In Maryland, 34 percent of the state’s 1,869 stations could no longer serve customers. More than half of South Carolina’s 3,084 stations ran out of gas, along with 34 percent of Tennessee’s stations.

The couple rode so often, they wore out one bicycle and recently bought another, a bright yellow Cannondale they called the Pineapple Express. Last month, Dorsey posted a photo of herself and Yore with the new bike on Facebook. Yet this summer at the Tokyo Olympic Games, these two distinct categories may be blurred with transgender athletes competing, specifically transgender biologic males competing against biologic females. For the first time in its history, California lost a House seat. California Democrats are resorting to conspiracy theories about President Trump and the census, but these are the numbers they got after spending $187 million on outreach and after rigging the census to make sure illegal aliens would continue to participate. And those are far better numbers than California deserves. The decline and fall is not a surprising development out here where moving trucks are a frequent sight and everyone knows a family that is moving. I know three of them in under two years. The population numbers only tell part of the story of a big state

Back then, you could count on the media to act as watchdogs for the American people, counted on to keep the political class in line. Sadly, that no longer appears to be the case. Instead now we see the mainstream media acting as a public relations arm for the Democratic Party, totally disinterested in anything which doesn’t fit a leftist political agenda. The myth of the “moderate” Joe Biden stubbornly refuses to die — partially because the Democrats and the legacy media are working overtime to keep it breathing. He even called Georgia’s new election integrity bill “Jim Crow on steroids.” Yet, somehow, Democrats and the legacy media continue to twist the limits of deception by branding this firebrand a “moderate.” This weekend, a White House staffer confessed that this is a
