Liz Cheney, the Captain Ahab
of the House

Original Article

Posted By: Magnante, 5/14/2021 3:57:09 AM

Herman Melville’s novel Moby Dick is one the finest books ever written for many reasons, but the main theme is obsession. The captain of the whale ship Pequod is obsessed with hunting down and killing the white whale, the giant mammal that cost the captain his leg. Despite his having lost the last battle with the whale, Ahab is filled with a terrible resolve that is frustrated by his megalomania, his hubris and overconfidence. (snip) Doesn’t that character description sound exactly like Liz Cheney, just-ousted from her House GOP Caucus leadership slot? She is obsessed, overconfident and hubristic to the point of insanity.

Could be insanity...more likely it's the same criminality exhibited by her mentor and father the Dick of Cheneys.

More to the point of reason; My belief is that the Liberal mind is one cannot reason things out, but it even refuses to try to reason. And this is a greater problem than anything because in my mind we/they, our children, are NOT being taught to reason.

What a terrible arc her political life has taken. At one time I respected Liz and what she had to say. Now, she has gone off the deep end in a spectacular fashion. A reasonable person would be able to sit down and look at the achievements of the Trump administration and agree that through his leadership the country was doing well. The world was not in the chaos of war that we see today, the economy was humming along at a record breaking pace, and there was optimism and hope in this country. All verifiable by facts and data. She may not like President Trump’s personality, but that is no reason for her virulent rhetoric. She is the one spewing lies on subjects that can be easily be refuted. Why would anyone behave this way? Liz has lost her marbles. No sane person acts this way. She is going down the Adam Schiff road of throwing out outrageous statements he knows are false yet that does not stop him. When people deny truth, they have lost their grip on reality and are trapped in a world of delusions. If you have ever been around someone going through a nasty divorce, reason is alien to those who are caught up in such a storm of hate. It makes some people act like they are temporarily insane. All they can focus is on is getting the better of the object of their hate. It is vicious and self-destructive and almost impossible to stop. Liz Cheney reminds me of someone going through this trauma. She is unreasonable, unmoving even if it is in her best interests, and most of all so filled with anger she cannot stop herself from being verbally abusive. It’s a sad state of affairs when this happen in private but when you play a scenario like that out on the public stage, you have lost all sense of dignity and self-respect. Liz is going to ride this out until the bitter end. She needs her parents to intervene. She is an embarrassment to herself.

Strange that Lizzie doesn't have anything to say about Biden's destructive governing. She used to be somewhat conservative and should be outraged. There is clearly something going on behind the scenes with so many of these politicians and judges. Malevolent forces are at work.

Liz Cheney was interviewed on Special Report (FOX) last night. Her irrational hatred of President Trump that mirrored that of the obsession captain Ahab had for the white whale in Herman Melville’s novel Moby Dick was on full display. She claimed all the good that President Trump did didn't matter because he lied about having the election stolen and incited a riot at the Capitol. She cannot prove either of here accusations. Because of last minute changes to voting procedures, the integrity of a great many of the votes counted is in doubt. Thus, neither Trump nor Cheney has proof of their position. As to the riot the FBI had internet communications of dissident group planning the riot going back several days before President Trump gave his speech and nowhere in his speech did he tell anybody to riot. When asked if she had considered the possibility that here pursuit of Trump would sink any chance of the Republicans regaining power in the 2022 elections, she claimed that removing Trump from politics as a based on principle. All the good he did in office didn't matter because he lied. This is rich. If all the politicians that lied were turned out of office, there would be very few left in either the Capitol and White House. And, all the attempts to impeach President Trump, which Cheney supported were based on lies. Some display of principle!

Cheny is beginning to look and sound a lot like Pelosi, as she is breathlessly clutches her pearls and spews her deranged bile to all who will listen. Bret Baier was foolish to give her "air time" on FNC to further propagate her absurd and hysterical rantings. She is the true exempflication of the of the old phrase "...it became necessary to destroy the village in order to save it." I hope the voters of Wyoming will rid us of the pestilence, and hope that the media will give her the total lack of attention that she deserves.

Liz Moby is a bit touched in the head. The 'Trump hater' has gone around the bend when Washington and the world is ablaze and she is blinded with one obsession 'get Trump'. If Liz Moby really believes what she espouses then she is dumb, stupid, idiotic looking while beating a dead horse. Ms. Moby talks of rebuilding the republicans without Trump without realizing she is canceling all the supporters who are voters. If a group of 100 RINOs put Ms. Moby up to this scam she took the bait and is going to fail miserably.

All I know is that Liz drank the cool aid and bought into the Russia collusion hoax, supported impeachment, and turned her back on the Great Election Fraud of 2020. She's just following the new world order and its obsession with power? Interesting analogy that #6 presents. Her folks and her spouse need to sit her down and talk some sense into her. If that is even possible at this stage. There's a more deep-seated reason for the rage and Trump just happens to be her target. But, she has chosen poorly. Previously, I thought she had a lot of potential.

TDS has ruined the careers of many other sometimes-sensible politicians and some not so sensible. The fact that Donald Trump came to town and soundly beat the career types at their own game could not be swallowed and it choked them. When Dick Cheney was VP, he gave GWB much advice on military matters - while making billions of dollars for Halliburton and KBR. Money like that can influence many decisions so he was never pure. His daughter does not measure up either.

Practically overnite, Liz Cheney has become the republican version of Nancy Pelosi. She is arrogant and views herself as unaccountable. She is drunk on power. If she were competent and honest, she could justify her lousy attitude, but she is neither. Liz Cheney epitomizes everything wrong in Washington. She is dishonest, corrupt, incompetent, and stupid. She covers that up by being vicious, arrogant, in your face, and a backstabber. There are so many like her in Washington. Washington is a disaster.

You would have to figure that it was over for Cheney with the majority of the Congressional Republicans last week or so when she walked across the House Chamber to kiss Biden’s ring as he was arriving to give his readout from his teleprompter to what the Democrats called a joint session of Congress that was in reality attended by less than half the Congress, with the attendees being predominantly leftist Democrats.

I'm still trying to understand her motivation for committing career suicide. Is she planning on switching parties? I definitely believe it's personal and nothing to do with Jan. 6th. She's using that because she believes that's the best way to get at President Trump.....and she is definitely trying to get at him. But why? Is it just a deranged hatred of the man? I'm missing something I'm sure. She is no longer bringing Wisconsin values to DC, which she was elected to do. I'm sure the voters of that state are not very happy about that and will take care of it in the next election...........although I believe she will announce her "retirement" to save herself the embarrassment of a spectacular loss.

I am sick to death hearing people say Trump was an attack on democracy, was trying to become a dictator etc. Trump was working on SAVING the Republic, and democracy. And I’m also getting tired of the attacks on his ‘persona’. He simply put off the facade of ‘gentleman’, as defined by the Bushes. He said what he thought. He said what the Bushes and others (most of us included) were saying in private. In short, I am sick of the lies being told about Trump. Is Kamala Harris in open rebellion against Joe Biden? Sure looks that way. Seven weeks after being named Biden's border czar, she's in some sort of defiance against the job Biden gave her and racking up failures. (snip) Why does it look like rebellion? Start with the fact that he fobbed that job off onto Kamala quite possibly as a sort of payback to President Obama, who during a previous border surge, dumped that job onto him. Endorsing such conspiracy theories, which allege that President Joe Biden didn’t actually win the election, poses a bigger threat to the U.S. than 9/11 hijackers ever did, he said.“The fact that the majority of Republicans believe our election was stolen is a sure sign that more violence is to come,”

A year ago, I wondered why Target wouldn't get rid of Hollywood celeb, Chrissy Teigen. The famous Internet 'influencer' and D-List actress, was making millions from her cookware line, selling it at Target. Yet she was always doing something disgusting. She had a foul mouth that would sear the paint off lead, for one. She got into scraps with President Trump, who was as grossed about about her words as anyone else. When I first heard of her and looked at her tweets, I was aghast: Teigen's entire Twitter page was like an unflushed toilet, with the foulest of language directed at Trump, interspersed in a hellscape of vulgarities, banalities,

He knew how hard it was, and how lazy and incompetent she was.

Listening to the exchange between Fox New’s Peter Doocy and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki regarding the administration’s sudden announcement that masks were no longer necessary for vaccinated people, it was hard to tell what was worse: Psaki’s prevarication and condescension, or the way she referred to Biden. (snip) You may not believe this, but she referred to Biden – the gropey, creepy, demented, and not very nice Biden – as “our North star.” (snip) Only in a party that is defined by a cult of personality could someone say that.
