Gas prices are already starting to spike in the wake of the suspected Russian cyberattack that shut down America's largest fuel pipeline four days ago as experts fear the attack could turn a 'cyber disaster into a real-world catastrophe'. The attack on Colonial Pipeline, which runs from Texas to New Jersey and transports 45 percent of the East Coast's fuel supply, is the largest assault on US energy infrastructure in history and has sent shockwaves across the industry. It has left Colonial and the US government scrambling to restart the network in a bid to avoid fuel shortages and drastic, long term price hikes.

How likely is it that our own home-grown "Green" Dems are in on this?

The same agencies that hacked the 2020 presidential election would never stoop this low.

I don't believe this... Attacking our oil supply is an "act of war"... Do the Russians really believe the USA is that weak that we won't respond... Oh yeah... Forget I asked that.

It won't be long before the Woke Bureau of Investigations, Central Woke Agency, Internal Woke Service and Dept of Just-Us discover this is really the handy work of those voluminous and well organized White Supremeist groups. And why is this a bother to the uber leftist East Coast? Isn't this allowing them to decrease their carbon footprint and live in a Green New World? I'm sure Trump instigated this and will be impeached on cue by Naci and her braindead minions.

Hackers say they only did this for money, not to disrupt society. Sounds like a liberal to me.

Begins to soar? They’ve been soaring since 11/4/20. Yesterday I paid $3.17 per gallon. A year ago I was paying $1.89.

In Seattle we're paying almost $4.00 a gallon. No kidding. And that was before this attack.

#1, you are onto something. My brother and I were discussing this issue this morning. We merely need to ask the question: Who benefits from shutting the pipelines down? Who was marching in the streets this past Friday against pipelines? Biden may try to blame "white supremacists." But how do "white supremacists" benefit from shutting down a pipeline?
Likewise, who benefited from COVID? Who "lost" the 2020 election? Who "won" the 2020 election? Who were hurt from extended shutdowns? Who have been demonized when holding off getting the vaccines?

How many times do corporations need to be told to KEEP YOUR IT OFF THE INTERNET!!!! If a man can dream up software to 'protect' something, another man can hack it...NOTHING is safe if you have even ONE dial up modem attached to YOUR net or let senior people work it from home...it's all just '1's' and 'zeros'....if/and yes/no...

The actual solution here is to pull ALL the hard drives, and run them through a chipper. New hard drives, AIR GAP the computers, NO net connection and rebuild the computers, etc. from you backups. No net connections, NO unibus ports. And really careful background checks on your key folks, repeated annually.
You DO have solid backups, RIGHT?
Any infrastructure outfit which insists on being connected to the net is just asking for this stuff.

Look for the price of gas to keep going up and the price of food and all items shipped to cost more. Democrat standard operating procedures: close those pipelines, stop drilling, raise taxes, keep businesses closed and people at home. Let China control us. Keep giving out money for people not to work and take in more and more dependent unskilled people. The plan is to collapse the system (Cloward-Piven) to make this possible and it is working.

So, is JoeBama now working with the Ruskies to create chaos?
I heard on the radio this morning that there is also a chicken shortage at KFC--
All mind of scarcity due to no workers to cut up the chickens?

And biden is doing what to put an end to this? Think him and harris on in over their heads (like they're running it anyway s/o). Soros/obama have been running it since day one and they love this huge set back. Get ready for a repeat of the downer Carter years.

This administration makes Carter's look like a pinnacle of competence. It may even make Ford's administration look livable. That's the guy we elected Carter over.

Yes, #1, it could well be an inside job that biden the cheater's team shadow-orchestrated. Regular unleaded gas in western Colorado has gone from $1.95 to $3.10 in just four months.

If anything, this incident exposes the leftist New York/media hypocrisy. Biden only wanted to shut down the pipelines transporting crude oil to the Gulf refineries. The Colonial Pipeline transports hundreds of millions of gallons of refined gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel to NY/NJ. Eventually the lack of crude being refined was going to curtail the volume of refined product making its way to the northeast. Despite AOC's Green New Deal, the people of NY/NJ are not willing to park their cars or shop in stores with empty shelves. The people of Boston and DC don't appear to be cutting back on their consumption either. Gasoline consumption in the leftist bastions is a high as it ever has been but they all talk a good game and back politicians that seek to cut off the hydrocarbon-based fuel supply permanently. If all of the product destined for the Colonial Pipeline is kept for distribution in the southern states and their close neighbors, then fuel prices would drop by a half to a third of what we see today. It's the old supply and demand vs price economic truths that do not play the socialist game and can only be made worse by political intervention. In the absence of the major pipelines, fuel trucks are working 24/7 to deliver refined product to the area affected by the Colonial shutdown but Biden has targeted the elimination of diesel trucks and I'd venture to say that not one electric tanker truck is making deliveries to NY/NJ. Delta, American, Continental, and Southwest, flying out of hubs in Tx and Ga would benefit by the lower jet fuel costs and would be able to drop ticket and cargo shipping prices at the expense of the northern and northeastern-based airlines.

Well, the Demonrats used their Dominion Voter Fraud Machines (computers) to steal the election, and now maybe using other computers to shut down petroleum refining and delivery that they cannot legally shut down?

This latest attack by "the Russians" is so insidious that it caused gasoline prices to retroactively and necessarily skyrocket since the week pResident Bidet's junta seized power and began closing pipelines, and otherwise spurred inflation (which Janet Yellen says is a myth) by printing obscene amounts of money.
