On Friday video was released of an armed Black Lives Matter-Antifa mob illegally blocking traffic in Plano, Texas. One man got out of his truck, confronted the mob and started screaming at them to get the f**k out of the road! One of the left-wing protesters pulled out a weapon (presumably a pistol) and pointed it at the driver who confronted the mob.The Plano police officer took the side of the BLM-Antifa mob and allowed the dangerous left-wing militia to illegally block the highway.

It looks like the Plano police chief is a BLM sympathizer. His actions and remarks confirm it. AG Paxton is going to have to do a lot more than write a letter of inquiry on this one. We need to change the law to say, if you stand in front of a car coming toward you, that is your problem.

That 'Chief' is a disgrace to Law Enforcement Officers everywhere. He should be in prison for gross negligence and dereliction of duty!!

Ok, fine, Paxton has made his statement condemning the chief. Now, what's he gonna do about it? They don't talk about that part.

Probably wouldn't have to dig too hard to find a Soros connection. These people want this violence. They prove it by having the authority and ability to stop it, and refusing to.
Looks like it will be up to the good people of America again. I'm surprised it hasn't happened already. This police protection of criminals has been going on for over a year.

A couple thoughts. I think Thomas Jefferson said "In order for evil to prevail, good men simply have to do nothing."
That police chief should have been fired yesterday, if not sooner.
I read somewhere that police exist to protect criminals from the law-abiding population. Otherwise, vigilante mobs run rampant, and they often go to far.

Let me be Captain Obvious here to say that BLM knew to go to Plano, out of all the other jurisdictions of the great state of Texas is they had a friend in the police department in the form of its chief! How Seattle and Portland is that!

Solution:
Offer rewards for identification, names and addresses of Antifa and BLM rioters.
Vet carefully.
Publish.

Pull something that looks like a pistol (and that one looks very much like a pistol, and NOT like any "pepper ball gun") and I'll seek some cover and then you may very well find yourself in a gunfight.

"We have to negotiate with these people. Do you expect us to mass arrest the protesters?" No, we expect you to crack some heads, until they understand that streets and roads were paid and built by taxpayers for the use of cars, not protesters who probably never paid a nickle in taxes in their life. Whose street? OUR streets.

it's not a good idea to pull a weapon in Texas unless there is cause or you have a death wish.

Don’t they realize the longer BLM and Antifa are allowed to cause chaos with impunity, the more power they accrue. These passive aggressive police chiefs are causing the problem. When you know there will be no consequences for your illegal activities, you will commit more illegal activities. It’s that simple. Treat them the same way you would treat a bunch of whites acting out. It would be a whole other outcome.

D S Craft, do you mean a strongly worded letter isn't enough? Massive, instant crack down by Texas Rangers would stop this nonsense in a heartbeat. And, to that drawn weapon by the thug, there is a simple solution to that and the lesson is permanent.

I am sorry to say this, but, I am disliking the police more and more every day. Luckily I can defend myself, but not everyone can. Yes, the beat cops are just doing what they are told to do, and like good little government employees, they obey their masters. Government employees are lightweights, not willing to work in the real world. Seems like the police departments have become just like the DMV and post office. Sure, there are some great cops out there but it seems like more and more cops are protecting their jobs and not the public they pretend to serve.

Not only did the BLM thug pull out a pistol, but the thug pointed it at the man!! It's in the picture! At that point, the man would be justified to use his own gun in self defense because he could not know if the thug was going to shoot him, and would fear for his life!

Yes, I do expect you to do your job. Call for backup, use city buses, whatever it takes to get the job done.

Brandishing a gun while engaging in menacing and criminal behavior is quite some distance beyond foolhardy, nudging up against the suicidal. Citizens who legally carry, whether constitutional carry or with permit, should learn to carry discretely--open carry eliminates the element of surprise needed in armed self defense, so I don't favor it--and to do everything possible to avoid conflict with others. If one is carrying a legal gun, one should maintain emotional control always, and never create a situation that could turn violent. The BLM-Antifa character with the gun should have been arrested and banned from owning firearms because he is a criminal who wants to touch off a gunfight. He welcomes an armed conflict. No law abiding citizen who cares about innocent human life wants to shoot anyone else, and would do so only to save an innocent life. The idiotic armed fellow in this story is playing brinkmanship and toying with lives. Prisons were made for people like this.

AG Paxton will respond to Antifa/BLM and ignore the border. (0 people imprisoned in a Houston house. Five young children abandoned on the banks of the Rio Grande. Otehrs dropped 18 feet from atop "The Wall"...and Madre reunited with appropriate fanfare as a loving parent. Add your opwn to the list. Paxton? Nowhere in sight. Neither is Governor Abbott. Our heroes!!
