Apple, Retail Groups Continue
Lobbying Congress On Chinese
Slave Labor Bill

Apple and several retail trade groups continued lobbying policymakers in the first quarter of this year on a bill to prohibit American firms from using Chinese forced labor, according to disclosures filed with Congress this week. Apple paid Fierce Government Relations, a Washington, D.C. firm, $90,000 to lobby the House and Senate on multiple pieces of legislation, including the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, according to Fierce’s lobbying disclosure filing. The tech giant also paid $90,000 to Invariant LLC, another Beltway-based firm, to work on several bills and to monitor “legislative action on workforce and supply chains in China.”

Comments:

So I just want to get this straight. We are being told that we need to pay reparations to the families of slaves in the 1800's that we and they had nothing to do with, all supported by the "woke" left, but Apple and other retailers are lobbying to "soften the language" in a bill aimed at preventing the use of slave labor in China that make their products! The scope of their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

OP makes a great point. The giant, corrupt corporations doing their business in China want to use slave labor while simultaneously funding the Marxist BLM folks who are screaming that slavery that ended over 150 years ago here is why they hate all white....who never owned a slave, or knew anyone who owned a slave. And yet - modern slavery is just fine with these big corporations, as long as they can benefit and keep their billions flowing in. These are some evil, evil people. Do you trust their "vaccine" to be safe and effective? Of course, they would never be willing to harm people, would they?

Pass the bill and bring jobs back here. Those guys have more money then they will ever spend. It is time for them to put their money where their mouths are an pay Americans a fair wage to make their stuff here. Otherwise the Feds need to tariff the hell out of it so the landed cost is equal to what it would be if made hers

It would be funny if the stakes were not so high, but political differences within families seem to fall along the same lines as party differences. Who could have predicted that all those Trump haters who swore they would never submit to a vaccine that President Trump had brought to market with Operation Warp Speed are those who now are lining up like bleating sheep to get vaccines that are experimental? Or that millions of those who support the former President are much more likely to be wary of the four vaccines now available?

When corporations pick one political party over another, it's time to take sides with your feet and your money. This spark was lit in the state of Georgia when major companies joined the woke destroyers of America. It was bad enough when Coca-Cola and Delta Airlines joined the feeding frenzy over Georgia's legal right to hold transparent and honest elections, an anathema for a Democrat party looking to advance a voting system void of voter identification.

Wearing a Superman zip-up hoodie, the 5-year-old Honduran boy looked out the airplane window, pointing at the sky in seeming disbelief that such a large craft was reaching the clouds. A few days ago Yancarlos Amaya was walking along the muddy river bank after crossing the Rio Grande and landing on the U.S. side of the border with Mexico. His mother, Celestina Ramirez, 28, said they turned themselves in to U.S. Border Patrol officers and later spent hours in custody, a night under a bridge and three more days in a detention facility.

Almost 225 years ago to the day, Abigail Adams counseled her husband to “Remember the Ladies.” Her tone in their correspondence was playful, yet serious. Treat women as friends rather than vassals or else we will “foment a Rebelion,” she teased, or was it warned? She appealed to the principles of equality and consent of the governed with charming pluck. Hers was a great example of spirited femininity, which combines Americanism and femininity. It is both cultivated by and protective of American principles.

"Either the Constitution matters and must be followed . . . or it is simply a piece of parchment on display at the National Archives."— Texas v. Pennsylvania et al.   Texas v. Pennsylvania et al. did not deny setting rules for the 2020 election contrary to the Constitution. On December 10, 2020, the Supreme Court discounted that. By refusing to interfere as America’s ruling oligarchy serves itself, the court archived what remained of the American republic’s system of equal justice. That much is clear. In 2021, the laws, customs, and habits of the heart that had defined the American republic since the 18th century are things of the past. Americans’ movements and interactions are under strictures for which no one ever voted. Government disarticulated society by penalizing ordinary social intercourse and precluding the rise of spontaneous opinion therefrom. Correction*

Prior to entry into politics, Donald Trump was a celebrity loved by the media and adored by millions of Americans. He was a successful real estate developer and the star of a reality TV show. His life was fabulous, full of success and praise from across the country. It all changed for Donald Trump on June 16, 2015, when he announced his presidential campaign after the famous escalator ride. His media coverage immediately changed from positive to unrelentingly negative. During his speech, Trump told the truth about Mexico sending criminals into the country. He was immediately labeled a “racist” and the hateful attacks have never stopped.

Lawyers for President Trump are feverishly crisscrossing the country, spending countless hours painstakingly revealing the mountains of evidence confirming the outrageously bolden theft of the 2020 Presidential election. And while they follow the law, many of them, along with millions of Americans who voted for Trump, still haven’t realized that proof of massive election irregularities, statistical improbabilities, reliable testimony, and video evidence is meaningless. Why?

I love this country. I love the people, the freedom, and the blessings we enjoy and often take for granted. The election of 2020 has polarized our country into two divisions — those who love this country and those who hate Donald Trump and all of his Bible-reading, gun-toting, God-loving deplorables at his side.America 2020 reminds me of the town Bedford Falls in the movie It's a Wonderful Life. On one side you have George Bailey who loves his town, his life, his family and the freedom to praise almighty God daily for all of his blessings.

Or did he? After re-watching the clip of Monday’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” twice, it appears to this humble writer that Carlson’s interview with Dr. Robert Epstein was an attempt to change the topic from fraudulent voting machines to Big Tech, specifically Google, as the difference of shifting six million votes to Joe Biden.

COLUMBUS, OH – The Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus has joined hordes of untrained armchair quarterbacks, in order to render her opinion on police procedure after the officer-involved shooting of Ma’Khia Bryant. In Columbus, Ohio on April 20, 2021, Officer Nicholas Reardon had to make a split second decision to intervene as Ma’Khia Bryant rushed toward her potential victim with a knife, after ignoring lawful orders to “get down.” Reardon fired his pistol, striking Bryant and ending the attack. Aid was rendered at the scene, but Bryant was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Neighbors reported that Bryant “was in full attack mode” and also said:

The television ratings for the 93rd Academy Awards on Sunday night is a 58 percent drop compared to last year's already record-low 23.64 million viewers, according to early Nielsen numbers. The huge drop in ratings for Hollywood's biggest night continues an overall multi-year downward trend for the Academy Awards, which were above 43 million as recently as 2014. President Biden is signing an executive order Monday to start an unprecedented, coordinated push by the federal government to encourage more workers to unionize. Mr. Biden will create a White House “task force on worker organizing and empowerment”—led by Vice President Kamala Harris—to mobilize Cabinet agencies and other federal offices to help workers “organize and successfully bargain with their employers,” the White House said. The administration’s statement cited a “steady decline” in union membership in the U.S., from more than 30% of the workforce in the 1950s to 10.8% in 2020. “As the president has said: America was built by the middle class, and unions built
