The WHO made pronouncements that protected China and blocked the world from the truth, leading to catastrophic consequences. Now they are being called on to pay the piper. A group of lawyers has gotten together and is taking a run at the World Health Organization’s leadership for the various ways they helped screw the world over. (Snip) Their class-action suit is being filed in the US, based on three issues: 1) The nature of the pandemic. Is it a pandemic in the authentic sense of infection rates? Or because of the prevalence of testing? Or is there a tie-in to corporate greed?

Comments:

I wonder if this is possible.

They should add to the suit the needless death from suppressing and ridiculing effective treatment, most notably hydroxychloroquine, only because our past and present president Donald Trump mentioned it. This should rate as the crime of the century.

Why don't knowledgable actuaries look at the projected 2020 death rate versus the actual death rate. I'd bet the farm - - that there is no discernible difference between a normal year's deaths and 2020's actual deaths - - that is - - if I had a farm.

Red China constantly rethinks how it will become the world's leading superpower, and plans accordingly. The Epoch Times has just published a detailed plan delivered in a speech in July, 2016, laying out how the People's Republic can overtake the United States as the world's leading nation. (Snip) The speech, kept secret until now, combined four elements: 1) weakening the United States by becoming increasingly involved in American affairs, and 2) infiltrating Chinese agents into the U.S. political system. The object would be to control the outcome of American elections. Jin calculated that it is possible to bring pro-Chinese candidates to power in House elections to ensure pro-Chinese policies.

In 1994, Prince Philip became the first member of the royal family ever to visit Israel, when he came to the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial museum in Jerusalem to participate in a ceremony honoring his mother, Princess Alice, as a Righteous Among The Nations. She had sheltered three members of the Cohen family, hiding them in her palace in Athens during the Nazi occupation of Greece. (Snip) This is the full text of the speech given by the prince, who died on April 9 at the age of 99, at the Yad Vashem ceremony, on October 30, 1994:

Four intruders barged into the printing plant of the Hong Kong edition of The Epoch Times in the early hours of April 12, damaging computers and printing equipment in an attack believed to be the latest effort by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to silence the news outlet. In an attack on the same facility in November 2019, four masked men set fire to two printing presses; the perpetrators are still at large. Cheryl Ng, a spokeswoman for the Hong Kong edition, said the intrusion was characteristic of the CCP and had the aim of silencing an independent outlet from reporting on topics that are taboo to the communist regime.

‘For things to stay the same, everything must change.” So says the restless young aristocrat Tancredi in Lampedusa’s The Leopard, one of the great novels of the last century. It’s as pithy and profound an expression of the ethos that governed the life of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh as you’re likely to read, as the Queen of England and many others across the world mourn his passing. (Snip) Prince Philip lived to see each of the great remaining monarchies of Europe meet either violent or ignominious ends during his lifetime. Most of them were made up of his own relatives. An oversight board created to scrutinize research that would enhance highly dangerous pathogens did not review a National Institutes of Health grant that funded a lab in Wuhan, China, to genetically modify bat-based coronaviruses. Experts say the NIH grant describes scientists as conducting gain-of-function research, a risky area of study that, in this case, made SARS-like viruses even more contagious. Federal funding for gain-of-function research was suspended temporarily in 2014 due to widespread scientific concerns it risked leaking supercharged viruses into the human population. Federal funding for gain-of-function research was resumed in late 2017 after the Potential Pandemic Pathogens Control and Oversight Framework was formed within the U.S. Department of

A Soviet television adaptation of The Lord of the Rings thought to have been lost to time was rediscovered and posted on YouTube last week, delighting Russian-language fans of JRR Tolkien. The 1991 made-for-TV film, Khraniteli, based on Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring, is the only adaptation of his Lord of the Rings trilogy believed to have been made in the Soviet Union. Aired 10 years before the release of the first instalment of Peter Jackson’s movie trilogy, the low-budget film appears ripped from another age: the costumes and sets are rudimentary, the special effects are ludicrous, and many of the scenes look more like a theatre production than a feature-

South Dakota governor Kristi Noem transitioned — at sprinting speed — from Miss Thing to Miss Nothing. On March 8, Gov. Noem expressed joy over a bill passed by the South Dakota Legislature, which would have banned males from women's sports. Then, on March 19, she "returned" the text to the Legislature requesting changes that undid the basic purpose of the bill. Her office issued a Shakespearean press release (except far less interesting than Hamlet's soliloquies), doddering to explain her veto. (Snip) However it's couched, she sank a key bill opposing the imposition of transgenderism on people whom it could harm. And the conservative world finally erupted.

Until very recently, it would have been hard to imagine anything more iconic of American life than Coca Cola and baseball. Today both remind me of Benito Mussolini’s corporatist – aka, fascist -- game of merging of state and corporate power. The CEOs of these operations should hang their heads in shame and fire their public-relations teams. So should the CEOs of Delta and American Airlines, Black Rock, Cisco, American Express, and American Airlines, who have promoted President Biden’s false assertions that tightening election procedures to bring them back into line -- and in accord with those of civilized Western governments elsewhere -- is racist voter suppression.

This week, traditional Jews and Christians celebrate special acts of God in human history. Yet, polling data now show that an increasing number of young people, including those from religious homes, doubt even the existence of God. Moreover, polls probing such young “religiously unaffiliated agnostics and atheists” have found that science — or at least the claims of putative spokesmen for science — have played an outsized sole in cementing disaffection with religious belief. In one, more than two-thirds of self-described atheists, and one-third of agnostics, affirm “the findings of science make the existence of God less probable.”

Poll of the week: A new Reuters/Ipsos poll finds that 55% of Republicans falsely believe Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election was the result of illegal voting or rigging. Additionally, 60% of Republicans incorrectly agree that the election was stolen from Republican Donald Trump. These polls are the latest to indicate that Republicans mistakenly think that the 2020 election wasn't legitimate, when it clearly was. What's the point: Republicans have been pushing legislation at the state level to make voting at least somewhat more difficult than it was for the 2020 election. This has come in the wake of polls showing many Republicans doubt the election result. It is unclear
