The NCAA reaffirmed its decision to refuse to hold college championships in states where laws “discriminate” against male athletes who identify as female. The board of governors issued a statement that “firmly and unequivocally” supports the inclusion of transgender athletes in college sports.
The statement comes after several states have passed laws preventing biological males from competing in girls’ athletics.
Apparently, the NCAA, which governs rules on competition in college sports, thinks it’s OK for biological males to compete against biological females. The only way they can allow this is if they ignore the biology in favor of being fashionable. In truth, the NCAA isn’t doing anything differently than

I guess Kristi Noem was correct to refuse the transgender bill.
All So Dakota college teams would now be barred from Interstate sports.

So, either "women's" sports are OVER, or the NCAA needs to be over.
Can't have both.

Time for the “Unwoke” States to dump the NCAA and start a new college sports league.

It's strange because the women's sports used title nine leverage to make the successful men's sports pay for them. Now they discover what it is to go up against the woke left.

Women will have to bulk up so they can beat all the sissy boys. The sissy boys won't be any more successful at being women than they are at being men.

Keep the heck out of Texas. Texas needs to band together with other states and create a counter to NCAA.

# 5 said it all. The real female athletes such as the soccer women loved Title IX when it brought them more money but they didn't like it so much when the NCAA put a light coat of oil on it and shoved it, well, you know where.

And yet another nail in real women's sports.
Soon real women will be limited to gymnastics, figure skating and maybe a few other things and that's it. Forget track n field, swimming, weight lifting, any sort of martial combat, and almost everything else.
It is strange how "we" have spent so much time and money trying to get girls into athletics only to toss them all aside over night for men/fake women. In the name of inclusiveness? Or something....
All the men going home with women's medals from the summer Olympics is going to be outrageous but applauded by the same women-haters on the left as some sort of success. For men.

If men can take hormones to compete in women's sports, why can't women take steroids to compete in women's sports? I never understand the rationale of anything the left does.

Well, that's that. Not only are we the laughingstock of the world, we're also now the butt of most jokes in heaven and hell.
I'm not particularly religious but there's little doubt left in my mind that there will be the devil to pay for these evil, rotten and grotesquely counterproductive internal attacks against our beautiful country.
Full-blown men competing against women athletes under the sanction of Uncle Sugar the stupid NCAA.
This nonsense must not stand, man. This is beyond parody and into intentional insanity.
Maybe they think a ludicrous freak show will bring more coveted dollars into women's athletics. More likely it will backfire like pretty much everything the libtard left attempts. Three steps forward and all that.
Tough toenails for legitimate female athletes, but considering the state of things on modern college campuses these days, many of them are likely supportive.

So there will be no college football bowl games played in AR, MS, TN and potentially TX or FL? I'm sure fans will love attending bowl games in December in a snowy northern "woke" state rather than a sunny, warm southern state.

I'm betting that Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana and maybe a few more states could put together a bang up college sports system, and just to hell with the NCAA.

Real women should not participate with trannys. To participate with them is to condone it then you can’t complain after they dominate.

#4 has it right. We need to create an alternative to the NCAA. If the NCAA won't let its championships be played in states that pass laws which protect women's sports then our schools should be directed at this alternative sporting environment away from the NCAA. Move entire conferences away from the NCAA.

Thank you, #1. Precisely her rationale for vetoing it, citing lack of resources to take on the ncaa in court if it had become law. That battle is best left to a powerhouse like Texas.

"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."
Where does it say discrimination "on the basis of sex" means XY individuals are legitimate competitors against XX athletic competitions in college sports?
The law was meant to ensure female athletes were not shortchanged by the system of unequal funding that existed at the time, and favored male athletes. It was never intended to give male athletes the "right" to compete "as if" they were female athletes. Such a condition was, and remains impossible to achieve. To allow such "competitions" to take place defeats the purpose of the regulation. It was intended to ensure that women have as many opportunities as the men, NOT to expand opportunities for men at the expense of female athletes.

If I were a woman I would refuse to compete against biological males who identify as female, who ought to be hooted out of sports arenas and ostracized as boys picking on girls. The NCAA's pronouncement is immoral, and it supports cheating. I'm glad my NCAA days are 45 years behind me; I would never want to be associated with such a pusillanimous group of pussies.

I say let anyone play in any league.
Let men who couldn't play varsity BB play on the girls team.
If I were a Coach I would go looking for good Tranny's to play, I could win titles.
I don't care if they have to show hormone blocker use, they would still have more mass and be quicker.

#1 Cowardice! Great plan! Let them win without a fight! That will show um'!
Noem empowered the NAACP to pull this unfair attack on women athletes. Now S.D. college women can still attend, (but never again win). Women have been, and will be denied an arena to compete because men (who are naturally stronger) are going to win. For the sake of competition a man is still a man no matter how girly he feels on gameday.

I don’t like the idea of biological men competing against biological women, but I think we’re being a bit apocalyptic here. What’s the percentage of transgendered persons in the population? Of them, what percentage is female to male? And then what percentage of them wants to play competitive athletics? It’s tiny, right? Don’t get me wrong; all I’m saying here is that to think all girls’s and women’s sports teams are going to be “taken over” by transgenders is nuts.

Is it just me, or is the United States of America spinning off the rails by every conceivable measure, culturally, economically, demographically and...wait for it...morally.
Personally, I don't think we're coming back, and I think that something very big and very bad is imminent..

#28 I'm guessing you were never a college athlete. Thousands of women athletes dedicated years of their lives and more effort than a spectator can comprehend to see who is best. One man decides he feels pretty and changes teams to take the title away from all of them. Not a big deal to YOU, I guess. I mean, how important IS fairness, especially if it's just women? Nothing to get worked up about? Want to try to apply that 'small number' dismissal to anything else? How about Black Women Brain Surgeons? See what I mean? PS: There is a long laundry list of men in skirts already taking a pile of women sports trophies.

Discriminate? Hmm. If a 250 lb wrestler is not allowed to wrestle a 200 lb, person why should a person who has 30% muscle mass be allowed to compete with someone with 25%?
