A California high school teacher was caught on camera berating students for their parents' collective push to end remote learning and return children to their classrooms full time. In a video shared on Facebook, San Marcos High School teacher Alissa Piro can be heard raising her voice at several seniors during a virtual lesson over Zoom. Piro, who teaches English, appears to be referencing an ongoing lawsuit launched by a coalition of parents against Gov. Gavin Newsom and six North Country school districts seeking eased COVID restrictions and an accelerated return to physical classrooms, though local unions say doing so would constitute judicial overreach.

Woman, those parents pay your salary and have to contend with the results of your actions towards their children. You bet your sweet bippy that they have a right to tell you how to do your job. It is o.k. for teachers to blame everything on parents but they are too thin-skinned to take criticism.

Time for parents to stand up and demand that they schools open and if the teachers do not want to come back, fire them and replace them with people that want to work. Also, these teachers today have their own agenda and it's not teaching.

The educators area of concern should be limited to Content, Process and Product. These ( should be ) the classroom teacher's areas of expertise. Appears at least one teacher in Callyfournia has a bit of a superiority complex.

There is only on thing about the Zoom type of teaching that I find beneficial. That is, the parents can keep up on what the teachers are telling their children. It is much harder to indoctrinate children when a parent is observing.

OK, make you a deal Ms. Piro: I'll stop "telling you how to teach" if you stop telling me how to raise my child. This coming from a former teacher. FYI, Alissa, you'd never make it in the professions I've move onto after I got fed up with the incompetence and self-righteousness of my former teaching peers. I remain wholly underwhelmed by the vast majority of educators but would happily pay the really good ones, who don't have to constantly claim relevance like you do in this video, three times as much as they currently make under the union-government thumb. You wouldn't survive a school-choice environment, ma'am.

The real reason for the "push" for In-person learning: parents want taxpayers to pay for daycare for their children. Goobermint schools are nothing more than taxpayer-funded daycare centers and indoctrination centers for communism, socialism, and hatred for America. Never mind the 3Rs

This is the attitude of almost every school administrator and school board in the country. It's why teaching anti-American woke BS goes on in every school in the country despite parents disapproval and objections. Since parents don't have a degree in teaching, those in charge of the schools don't care what parents think or want, and there's nothing parents can do about it. School systems around the country answer to no one. They do what they please, because schools are protected by the swamp.

It was just part of “a great deal of frostiness” Harry faced during his first time home in the UK following the damning allegations Harry and wife Meghan Markle made against his family during their TV tell-all.

The cartoon by longtime satirist Pat Bagley compared rhetoric by Owens about migrants crossing the southern border to comments made by the Ku Klux Klan 70 years ago. "The @sltrib and @Patbagley compare me to the KKK, the radical hate group that terrorized me in my youth, because I am one of many sounding the alarm of the trauma being faced by women and children crossing the border. In 2005, then-Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) delivered a Senate floor speech about President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's doomed 1937 plan to "pack" the U.S. Supreme Court. FDR's plan would have permitted him to add six justices, immediately securing a pro-New Deal judicial majority. But "in an act of great courage, Roosevelt's own party stood up against this institutional power grab," Biden recounted 16 years ago. "They did not agree with the judicial activism of the Supreme Court, but they believed that Roosevelt was wrong to seek to defy established traditions as a way of stopping that activism."
