Democrats to propose
legislation expanding
the Supreme Court

Original Article

Democratic lawmakers are set to unveil legislation Thursday to expand the number of justices on the Supreme Court. Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Reps. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., Hank Johnson, D-Ga., and Mondaire Jones, D-N.Y., will hold a press conference on Thursday to introduce the proposal on the steps of the Supreme Court. Given their control of the White House and the Senate, the legislation could allow them to supersede the current conservative majority by "packing" the Court with liberal justices.

Comments:

What happened to the bipartisan advisory group Biden was going to set up? It would have been a fraud, but now it seems the Dems aren’t even pretending to look fair.

Beyond that, if the Democrats can run current Chief Justice John Roberts off, look for Biden to nominate Barack Obama to be the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Basically, I am against 'packing' the court. But with them ignoring the stolen presidential election, I hope they put another 20 justices on it with term limits for all of them! A bunch of gutless traitors!!!

ANY politician (R or D) who would countenance this SCOTUS stacking is intentionally torpedoing the tripartite balance of power simply because they are haters of America. This is what happens when you don't take Democrats at their word: TYRANNY. Will the SHEEP knuckle-under? Maybe given enough helicopter money, they will. Wait until they see the TAXES that result. Striking while the iron is hot (or while democrats have a majority in the house and senate). Unfortunately, with mail in ballots we might want to get used to it.

The Supreme Court has never been worth a damn. It's like chasing a carrot at the end of a fishing pole. The Dems get a hundred percent commies from their nominees and we get a fifty fifty split. Too often GOP presidents give us a Warren, Blackmun, Brennan, Souter, or Roberts. Now we don't have to pretend and we can be Bolshevik slaves with no rights granted.

Rep. Burgess Owens, R-Utah, called out the Salt Lake Tribune for "woke racism" after the paper published a "pathetic" editorial cartoon comparing him to the Ku Klux Klan that has also irked fellow Utah Republican lawmakers. The cartoon by longtime satirist Pat Bagley compared rhetoric by Owens about migrants crossing the southern border to comments made by the Ku Klux Klan 70 years ago. "The @sltrib and @Patbagley compare me to the KKK, the radical hate group that terrorized me in my youth, because I am one of many sounding the alarm of the trauma being faced by women and children crossing the border. This is pathetic," Owens tweeted

In 2005, then-Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) delivered a Senate floor speech about President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's doomed 1937 plan to "pack" the U.S. Supreme Court. FDR's plan would have permitted him to add six justices, immediately securing a pro-New Deal judicial majority. But "in an act of great courage, Roosevelt's own party stood up against this institutional power grab," Biden recounted 16 years ago. "They did not agree with the judicial activism of the Supreme Court, but they believed that Roosevelt was wrong to seek to defy established traditions as a way of stopping that activism."

Like, we are trying to help BLM,’" Chester said in the video. Chester noted that "conservatives" would pounce if it was reported that Black people were the ones committing hate crimes because it wouldn’t coincide with the Black Lives Matter movement.

Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, pressed Dr. Anthony Fauci on when that end might become a reality in terms of restrictions being lifted. Jordan got right to the point, noting that Fauci had recently written that it is not yet the time to cease taking precautionary measures such as social distancing, avoiding gatherings, and wearing face masks. "When is the time?" Jordan asked. "When do Americans get their freedom back?"

A group of Democrats Thursday formally launched a legislative effort to pack the Supreme Court by adding four new justices, in a move that was hailed by progressive activists but quickly met with fierce GOP opposition and skepticism by Democratic leadership. Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., along with House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., and Judiciary Committee members Mondaire Jones, D-N.Y., and Hank Johnson, D-Ga., stood outside the Supreme Court Thursday to announce their new legislation to expand the high court from 9 to 13 justices. Bartiromo noted that he and the group of lawmakers he toured the facility with were barred from taking any photographs and when they asked for written permission to film "they were told by Biden's handlers it's a moot point."

How did this happen? How did the nation go in an instant from disbelieving every utterance of Donald Trump to robotically repeating — and acting on — every claim that falls out of Joe Biden’s mouth, no matter how disconnected from the truth? The most glaring example involves Biden’s fact-challenged tirade against Georgia’s new voting law. At his first and only press conference, Biden declared the state’s efforts to protect against voter fraud were worse than Jim Crow, “un-American,” “sick,” and “despicable.” (This was the same press conference where moments later Biden bragged about how much time he’s spent with China’s genocidal communist dictator before calling him “a smart, smart guy.”)

Anybody who’s taking Dr. Anthony Fauci seriously probably needs to stop doing so. He endlessly moves the goalposts to maintain his unlimited power over the American people, something Democrats support. That’s why, on Thursday, during House testimony, Rep. Maxine Watters (who is a low-rent harridan) tried to shut down Rep. Jim Jordan’s efforts to get Fauci to say when enough Americans will be vaccinated so that COVID restrictions can end. The past year has shown that Fauci either has no idea what he’s talking about or is trying to advance an agenda that invariably has to do with maintaining the 2020 status quo of lockdowns, isolation, and masks.
