In her final month on CNN before leaving her job (apparently her own decision), anchor Brooke Baldwin gave an hour long interview to a Ms. Magazine podcast that criticizes the cable news network that has employed her in prominent roles since 2008. As my source who tipped me to the story commented, “It’s a pretty interesting perspective from someone on the inside of the network and shows that things must be bad if she’s willing to speak out while still employed there.” In fact, things are bad at CNN – and getting worse.

On Tuesday, alleged comedian Samantha Bee and disgraced “journalist” Dan Rather talked about how it’s impossible to mock Biden for fear of undermining his policies. America and the West’s policy of “constructive engagement” with Communist China make up the most egregious case of wishful thinking in history. For almost fifty years, the West has pumped trillions of dollars into the Chinese experiment and now has little to show for it except a much stronger China. Fortunately, many Americans are now waking up to the dangers of dealing with the Chinese dragon. It is not a moment too soon. In summary, Chairman Powell has stated that overall inflation remains below the Fed’s 2% long-term objective, and that while reopening of the economy could produce price increases later in the year, inflationary pressures from rising prices are likely to be neither large nor persistent. Given the transient nature of these effects, and a long history of deflationary pressures in the U.S. and around the world, Chairman Powell believes that inflation isn’t something to worry about. “You do not disrespect black women from our community…. You do not disrespect Black Lives Matter…. You ever disrespect a black woman again, we’re going to shut you down.” With these and other words, a group of 10 Milwaukee Black Panthers invaded an Asian-owned nail salon and threatened it. Later, they returned and police arrived.
