Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., died Tuesday after a more than two-year bout with pancreatic cancer, NBC News confirmed. Hastings, who served in the House for nearly three decades, was 84. Throughout his career, he held several key committee assignments and leadership positions, most recently as vice chairman of the rules committee. He had also been Florida’s first Black federal trial judge, appointed to the bench in 1979 by President Jimmy Carter. Another corrupt, democrat ghetto plantation overseer takes the down escalator to meet his eternal fate. One fact that seems to escape all of these ancient, withered leaders of the communist death democrat party is that they all conduct themselves as if death does not apply to them so they continue to spread evil up until the day they die believing there will be no consequences for their actions in life.. Alcee Hastings lived by the code above and betrayed his constituents, his oath of office, and our country. Let that be his epitaph.

Gonna buy a few cases of Budweiser to celebrate. Gotta load up for when I unload on his grave. If you still believe you’re being classy by showing respect for the dead enemy, you’ve never been to war and have never been a Soldier. The enemy deserves nothing but disrespect and my only regret today is that I didn’t put him in his grave myself. Few people in our nation’s history were worse than this racist lout.

He had been suffering for two years. So why didn't he choose not to run for re-election in 2020? He was in his 80's, he was ill with terminal cancer. What is it with people like Ginsburg and Hastings who believe they are the most valued democrat in town and they really won't die no matter their age or their health?

When I was growing up I remember the oft spoken phrase, “The only good ____ (soldier for our Axis Asian enemy in WWII) is a dead J **.” I’m not sure what made me think of that. But speaking of cancer, didn’t a certain Georgia peanut farmer, who is also responsible for putting the Hastings loon in a Federal position in the first place, announce six years ago at the age of 91 that he was diagnosed with metastatic disease, melanoma no less, of the brain and liver? At the time it sounded serious enough to assume an imminent death but here he is at 97, still among the living. Would it be unChristian of me to wonder aloud what went wrong?

There are a LOT of very old democrats in the House. #8, they're told to stay the course, because their campaign donors admonish them that the goal is bigger than their health, or need to spend time with their family. Seem to recall Nancy saying something to that effect when she lost her Speakership a few years back. It's sad to think they don't have anything more important in their life.

It would be delicious if a Republican wins his seat! However Nervous Nancy would refuse to seat them because she will claim it’s “his seat”. Just like the idiots in MI who elected John Dingell’s bird-brained wife to replace him even though should would have zero chance of telling you today was Tuesday with a calendar and her iPhone with her.

Pancreatic Cancer is not an easy way to go. As repulsive a political character that Rep. Hastings was, I will extend my sympathy to his family and friends and wish that he finds salvation in Heaven, if the Good Lord determines it (those decisions are far beyond my pay grade, although I, like many of you, are willing to offer the Good Lord advice if he chooses to take it, and hope that when my time comes, He doesn't rely on similar advice). As Mark Twain (I think) said, I don't wish death upon anyone, but I have read a few obituaries with glee.

The United States is considering sending warships into the Black Sea in the next few weeks in a show of support for Ukraine amid Russia's increased military presence on Ukraine's eastern border, a US defense official told CNN Thursday. The US Navy routinely operates in the Black Sea, but a deployment of warships now would send a specific message to Moscow that the US is closely watching, the official said. The US is required to give 14 days notice of its intention to enter the Black Sea under a 1936 treaty giving Turkey control of the straits to enter the

President Biden on Tuesday continued to show support for corporations that condemn Georgia’s sweeping new voting law, but he cautioned that boycotts and canceled events could harm low-income workers. Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines and Major League Baseball are among the big-name brands to denounce the state’s new rules, which critics say are restrictive and will disenfranchise mostly voters of color. “It is reassuring to see that for-profit operations and businesses are speaking up about how these new Jim Crow laws are just antithetical to who we are,” Biden said at a news conference. “The other side of it is, when

Routine use of disinfectants to fight the coronavirus is mostly unnecessary, as the risk of transmission through touching surfaces is "low," the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Monday. In a science brief based on analysis of the latest available data, the agency said intense cleaning was needed in only a few scenarios. This news could bring an end to what some refer to as "hygiene theater," or routine deep cleaning of hotel rooms, business premises, and public transport. Such measures might appear reassuring but are costly and, it seems, of limited use. The brief said the

CHICAGO — Government-backed affordable housing in Chicago has largely been confined to majority-Black neighborhoods with high concentrations of poverty over the last two decades, a design that has perpetuated the city's long history of segregation. As the neighborhoods faced rising divestment, gun violence and food deserts, the lack of affordable housing in other parts of the city restricted many people of color from leaving. But now, using its largest pot of federal housing funding, Chicago wants to chart a corrective path by aggressively pushing for more affordable homes in high-income, well-resourced areas, which housing experts say would unlock previously unavailable opportunities
