Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), who was a prominent Atlanta preacher before he was elected to the Senate, deleted a tweet on Easter Sunday that drew allegations of heresy. “The meaning of Easter is more transcendent than the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” Warnock wrote in the tweet posted Sunday morning. “Whether you are Christian or not, through a commitment to helping others we are able to save ourselves.” The comment from Warnock, who was a pastor at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, where Martin Luther King Jr. preached, landed the senator in hot water. The Texas Rangers baseball team had asked Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to throw out the first pitch at their home opener.
Major League Baseball then took a stand against sensible voting reforms in Georgia, reforms that include extending early voting days making it easier to Georgians to cast votes. After Joe Biden shamelessly and repeatedly lied about that law, MLB moved the All-Star game from Atlanta.
MLB’s leadership evidently did not read the law before launching an economic war against the state of Georgia.
Texas is considering similar reforms, and American Airlines is among corporate America’s partisans taking shots at the law without bothering to read it first.

Jim Geraghty wonders why Major League Baseball pulled its all-star game from Georgia, but major sporting events are still scheduled to take place in that state. He cites the Masters Golf Tournament, as well as all home games for professional Atlanta teams and Georgia’s collegiate athletic programs. In addition, the following events are still a go, as of now:

Senator Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.) said he would oppose raising the corporate tax rate to 28 percent, a key component of the Biden administration’s infrastructure bill, in a radio interview with West Virginia’s Metro News.

Consider the new Congressional Budget Office report on that very thing, the budget, the economy, and how we tax it. The left are terrified of Ron DeSantis, and that was never made more apparent than how 60 Minutes chose to handle the supposed “scandals” surrounding Florida’s vaccine program. RedState initially covered the absurdity last night. As Jennifer Van Laar put it in her write-up, the memo has gone out to destroy DeSantis, facts be damned.
While 60 Minutes attempted to make it seem like DeSantis had been paid off to allow Publix to host early, pop-up vaccination sites, the truth is much more mundane. You see, Publix has over 800 locations in Florida and also has large facilities and parking lots, a combination unmatched by smaller stores like CVS and Walgreens.

CBS News’ 60 Minutes tried to paint Florida’s partnership with supermarket giant Publix as a kind of payoff for campaign contributions in a segment last night targeting Governor Ron DeSantis. Donald Trump is encouraging people to boycott companies and organizations that cave to, or do the bidding of, the left. He mentioned by name Major League Baseball, Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, JPMorgan Chase, ViacomCBS, Citigroup, Cisco, UPS, and Merck.

Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso, the third-ranking Republican in the Senate, on Sunday said he was told to delete photos of migrant facilities at the border — as he claimed children are being packed “like sardines” inside.
“This is both a humanitarian crisis and a national security crisis,” Barrasso said during an interview on Fox News.
Barrasso said on “Sunday Morning Futures” that GOP senators were told by officials to delete photos they took of the facilities during a recent visit to the US-Mexico border.
