I've long said the data on the Wuhan virus in no way matched the hysteria visited on most of the U.S. and the world. (snip) Take a look at the data on multiple school systems in Florida: those with mask mandates vs. those where masks are optional: [graph] Note that the cases per 100K in school systems where masks are optional are significantly lower than those systems where masks are mandated. Joe Biden and his fellow mask apologists foolishly described the idea of states lifting mask mandates as "Neanderthal thinking."

While I agree that masks were probably unnecessary, this analysis is overly simplistic. Optional means that one could choose TO wear or NOT. The data says nothing about whether people made needlessly fearful still CHOSE to wear a mask even apart from being told they had to. Did they do it on their own anyway? The data also says nothing about how much other risks were evident. With or without a lockdown, were they still quarantining themselves. Many jobs were gone so many citizens stayed home. I am still anxious to see a proper in-depth analysis to explain what we saw and why.

South Carolina never had a state mask mandate either and the state has been open, except for large festivals like county fairs and Spoleto, since last May. Though in my area we’re still waiting for the idiot leftist mayor and city council to drop the mandate in the city of Charleston and in Charleston county. And I still don’t know a single person who has had the virus. After a year of this what are the odds of that? It has all been one big scam.

Trevor, the hidden purpose of the mask mandate wasn't to control the spread of covid19. It was to condition the masses to behave and conform to a political weapon.

My observation here in Texas is, from the start, most have only worn masks where required by a business. Although I have seen the occasional fearful masked while driving alone or walking, it has not been the norm. Most people I know have gathered normally as family and freinds. Over a year and I have only known one local who has had it.

Texas is a large state. Outside of the I-35 corridor, Metropolitan Harris County, and the Valley there are many counties that had very few cases. A one-size-fits-all top-down statewide mandate didn't make any sense. Besides, people were already taking precautions before any state mandate and continued to do so on the county level, where officials would actually be able to enforce it.

I was surprised when my sister in Dallas said yes, the governor of Texas ended the mandate but private businesses continue to require it upon entry into their stores. She said only a few stores were maskless. She also said a lot of her lady friends are keeping theirs on. They’re all Republicans, too. Go figure.

I haven't worn a mask here in FL I expected some Karens to call 911 but it hasn't happened yet. Disingenuously, many stores have signs on the doors that say 'Due To State Regulations, We Require Masks To Be Worn". There IS NO state regulation to wear masks in FL, and by the time they'd call a cop for trespassing, I'd be done and gone. I have made an observation though. There is a higher percentage of people wearing 'Virtue Signaling' masks in general stores like the supermarket, Target, and Walmart, than in what I'd call 'working stores' like Home Depot, auto parts stores, plumbing and electrical supply stores. Maybe a little more critical thinking by people who do things for themselves?

In order to do business in Florida, you’ve worn a mask. The most ardent “anti-mask” people on the internet were probably the first in line to get the vaccine and love to spout off to assuage their guilt at being a phony patriot. I’ve been walking past these people every day since the inoculations began. The only store that I don’t have to wear a mask is Shoot Straight, a popular gun dealer and shooting range. They make a point of letting their customers know it’s a freedom-loving zone.

The author of this piece is absolutely right. The idea of breathing air you body needs to expel into a mask that captures part of the fetid air so that the wearer breathes it back into their body. This nasty stuff builds up and you can imagine what pollution you are inhaling at the end of a few hours. The whole idea of it is insane. Fresh air, sunshine and decent hygiene are basic to a healthy immune system, the first line of defense against illness. Our glorious leaders sent us back to the Dark ages when the kept the sick locked up in dark rooms with the windows down and curtains draw. naturally, they didn't do to well. Idiots!!

I keep saying if you have any extra money, invest in breathing equipment and medication. There will be millions, especially children who were made to wear masks, with lung problems in a few years. I never wore a mask, anywhere. Besides, I had the virus before I'd even heard of Corona. I thought it was just a mild flu.

The lie that George Floyd was murdered by racist police officers in Minneapolis has made its way around the world several times over, leaving countless violent riots and more than $2 billion in property damages in its wake, but it seems that the truth is finally putting on its shoes. In June of 2020, 60 percent of surveyed adults deemed George Floyd’s death to be murder at the hands of police officer Derek Chauvin. As of last month, a little more than a third of Americans believe that. That’s a stunning near-reversal of public opinion.

Democrats thought they had a brilliant plan to force Georgia to permit widespread voting fraud by getting their woke pals in corporate America to bully the state into repealing its brand-new voting integrity law that mandates voter ID and other common-sense measures. Two Atlanta-based corporate giants, Coca-Cola and Delta Airlines, denounced Georgia’s new voting integrity bill, and Major League Baseball announced it was moving the All-Star Game away from Atlanta. Oops! Guess who gets hurt in the estimated $100 million impact from the loss of the MLB showcase. That would be the little guys

Unlike many conservative commentators, I've long been a supporter of public schools. (snip) However, if I were vehemently opposed to public schools, and what I really wanted was to destroy them, I know exactly how I'd go about it. First, I'd help elect radical, neo-Marxist ideologues to the local school board. As a bonus, they wouldn't have much experience running a school system or kids of their own in the county schools. Once my radical leftists held a majority on the board, they could begin enacting their extremist agenda — starting with keeping as many kids out of school as possible for as long as possible

It's a year ago now that Donald Trump, then president of the United States, mused about how wonderful it would be if the country opened up again by Easter. It didn't. Although some states have taken a few steps in that direction, most of us are still actors, willing and unwilling, in a weird germophobic paranoia play. Were he to tap the tip of his nose, say, that would indicate smug self-satisfaction: I know this, keep me in your eye. But he doesn't tap the tip. He doesn't, in fact, feel all-wise.

In the case of H.R. 1 -- the 2021 Omnibus Federal Electoral Fraud Enhancement Act -- the revelations are pretty scary. Nissan sold cars and trucks for decades before entering the U.S. market. In some nations they were marketed as Nissans; here they were badged as Datsuns, a brand the parent company has owned since the ‘30s. When 1970s gas crises sent U.S. sales soaring, Nissan grew uncomfortable with the Datsun label and decided to make a brand transition. In 1981, small “by Nissan” nameplates appeared on Datsun vehicles. The Court's unwillingness to make any decisions regarding the presidential election of 2020 is a historic failure. These last twelve months have seen the Court refuse to do its duty.
