Former House Speaker John Boehner claims the GOP thought ex-President Barack Obama was a 'secret Kenyan Muslim traitor,' he called Sen. Ted Cruz a 'reckless a**hole' and said Republican 'morons' flooded Congress in 2010. In Boehner's new book, 'On the House: A Washington Memoir,' the chain-smoking, red wine-sipping former top Republican doesn't hold back when judging members of his own party. Boehner ascended to the speakership in 2011 after the Tea Party movement helped the GOP capture the House majority two years into Obama's tenure.(Snip) Boehner complained about the tone of the new Tea Party-tied members.

Who is surprised by this? Anyone?? What he is saying is precisely what the "wiser heads" of the RNC have had in their chromosomes as far back as any of us - probably - can recall. I remind you that Reagan won nomination against their violent opposition, and part of the sordid deal was sticking the Bush crime family into the mix, to the lasting harm to the nation. Trump came in, fighting throughout the strident opposition of the same. The ones who wanted Christie or Jeb! or the like. A pox, a plague, a murrain, uncontrollable flatulence and the like be upon the whole Republicrat cabal. The politics of "party above all" has been a curse upon the landscape at least as far back as the Roman Republic. At least. Here is just one example.

U.S. and state health officials said Monday they’re seeing more coronavirus cases in younger persons than they did earlier in the pandemic, as seniors achieve protection from vaccination and youth sports are blamed for outbreaks. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said even as the vaccine reaches more people, the seven-day average of cases has risen for four straight weeks and remains above 60,000 per day. Officials are particularly concerned about the prevalence of the fast-moving B.1.1.7, or “U.K.,” variant in the states. “Cases are increasing nationally and we are seeing this occur predominately in younger adults,” CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said.

Christie told George Stephanopoulos that Biden’s “broken his own rule” about stating the truth, saying the president is “lying to the American people” about what the law says. “He’s lying about this bill, he’s lying to the American people about it, to cause the raging fire he said he was going to put out. The neighborhood burned and looted over the following days. The fortified courthouse where that former police officer is on trial for murder charges in Floyd's death. From the razor wire ringing the courthouse to a smattering of activists occupying the intersection where Derek Chauvin and three officers held Floyd to the ground, this city is still reckoning with the consequences of Floyd's death.
