US Special Operations’ new “chief of diversity” has been reassigned just days after he was appointed, amid an investigation into social media posts in which he compared former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler. A Department of Defense official confirmed the reassignment of Richard Torres-Estrada to Fox News on Tuesday. Torres-Estrada’s appointment as chief of diversity and inclusion was announced just last Thursday by the US Special Operations Command. But by Monday, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby confirmed a probe into Torres-Estrada’s social-media posts, which include an image juxtaposing Trump and Hitler and an anti-police political cartoon.

The left has lost any pretense of integrity, personal responsibility, honor or even civility. I remember when Liberalism was just a differing ideology and now it is an identity that is dangerous and destructive. It has become alarming apparent that there is little beneath them.

One would think that a person being placed in such a sensitive position would be checked out rather thoroughly. One would be wrong. I wonder how this would have gone had he been a black Hispanic?

If he had said the exact same things about Ovomit, does anyone believe he would have been "reassigned"??? No, he would have been fired on the spot and thrown out on the curb. His career would have been over, and he would have to walk around at night wearing sackcloth and ashes to atone for his evil white supremist deeds!!!! The military needs to clean house of all women (and, yes, I am a woman saying that), homosexuals, and freaks (like transsexuals)!!!! They need to bring in real normal men, who understand their job is to protect and defend this country and the Constitution, and who are not afraid to kick butt and break things when needed!!!!! You remember? Just like it was until about 10 years ago!!!

I read the Special Ops strategic plan for the future and IMHO it is nothing but a plan for punishment of service members who fail to accept brainwashing over such claptrap as social justice, transgender recruitment, white supremacy, white maleness, and anything some woke clown wishes to use to beat the troops into line. Appointing that useful idiot to a position totally unnecessary is just the beginning of the end to unit cohesiveness.

The Washington state Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that efforts to recall Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant can move forward. Sawant, a socialist representing Capitol Hill and the Central District, faced a recall after being accused of abusing her office by letting a large group of protesters into city hall last year with her passkey, using city resources in promoting a ballot initiative to impose taxes on Amazon, and outsourcing decisions regarding the hiring and firing of city employees to her party’s executive committee. She is also accused of violating code when she led a protest march to Mayor Jenny Durkan’s private residence even with the knowledge that the mayor’s address was

After January’s explosive drama, the battle for digital control of American life is now proceeding quietly, by soft degrees. The shock of 1/6 has morphed into a pretext for something still more consequential: a new phase of national crisis wherein corporations with strategic control over Americans’ communications enforce a creeping line of censorship against critics of the sitting regime. While online platforms claim only to be applying their terms of service in neutral fashion, those terms themselves stink of delegitimization. Once this shadow falls upon you and your account, you are as good as deactivated. You know this; you know they know this; they know you know they know it.

Obama-era Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood took $50,000 in undisclosed foreign cash while he was still in office in 2012 because he was “suffering financial difficulties,” Axios reported on Wednesday. The cash came to LaHood as a loan from Virginia businessman Toufic Baaklini, an associate to Lebanese-Nigerian billionaire Gilbert Chagoury, who conspired to funnel foreign money into U.S. elections. The Department of Justice noted that LaHood purposefully refused to mention the loan on government ethics forms “because LaHood did not want to be associated with Chagoury,” which was unrelated to a larger scheme of making illegal campaign contributions to U.S. politicians.
