NBC News Anchor: ‘Fairness Is Overrated’

NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt says “fairness is overrated” and the news media no longer needs to present both sides of a given story.Holt, who was this week awarded the Edward R. Murrow Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism from Washington State University, waxed poetic on the news media, at one point declaring that “it’s become clearer that fairness is over-rated.”“Before you run off and tweet that headline, let me explain a bit,” he said. “The idea that we should always give two sides equal weight and merit does not reflect the world we find ourselves in. Like this lying hack has any idea what objective facts are. He is a biased liar who gets a special thrill out of spewing the propaganda his bosses give him. Say it with fake sincerity Lester, THAT will make it a 'fact' for smooth brained neocommunist thugs. 4 years of reporting rumors about President Trump as fact, and he has the gall to lecture. Boy, would I love to see this pampered liar face to face. It is slobs like this that enable rats to break every law they want. That and gutless republicans who are afraid of everything.

That the "sun sets in the west" is actually not a fact. The earth's rotation makes the western horizon block the sun, but the sun doesn't "set." This is like all of this hack's other "facts."

She doesn't even know what the word, "fairness" means. She meant "balanced". True that Leftist news has been giving equal weight to pseudoscientific theories such as "global warming" and Critical Race theory vs real science. And marginal but well-financed groups like Antifa and BLM are given way, way more coverage than they deserve, but I doubt that's what she means.

We need not see much more to realize we are in deep caca. The left is like a run away reactor. There will be no satifaction until our entire system has completely melted down. The stupidity on their part is they do not realize there will be nothing left to manipulate. Like a child who has broken his last toy, it will be impossible for them to understand what went wrong.

There are a lot of ironies when it comes to increased Democrat calls for more gun control — which always happens when they are in power — and corresponding record increases in gun sales, but this one might just be the granddaddy of them all.As reported by “Washington Secrets” columnist Paul Bedard, gun sales hit another record in February as Joe Biden and congressional Democrats once again ramped up calls for new gun control measures, politically exploiting, as they always do, a series of tragic mass shootings.Bedard writes:For the second time in three months, the FBI broke its record for gun sales, concealed carry, .

Georgia’s election reform legislation is pretty good. But the future of the republic is at stake, and “pretty good” isn’t good enough. Unfortunately, while the omnibus bill contains a number of laudable provisions, such as stricter ID requirements and absentee ballot safeguards, it also includes glaring flaws that could render the final product largely meaningless. Most significantly, the language used to “ban” private funding of election administration has a loophole large enough to drive a semi-truck full of ballots through. Although the legislation bars election officials from directly accepting private funding, the wording expressly allows funding to flow through “the governing authority of the county or municipality,”

The White House is pushing an infrastructure bill that could reshape the discussion around capitalism as it seems to reestablish the federal government as a primary driver of how the economy should grow and function. In addition to traditional infrastructure projects, Biden’s $2.25 trillion American Jobs Plan would make government investments in broadband, electric vehicles, climate change, elderly care, child benefits, housing and developing future technologies. It would redefine classic infrastructure projects to include investments in workers and families paid for by tax hikes on corporations.

There are 10 new ideas that are changing America, maybe permanently. 1) Money is a construct. It can be created from thin air. Annual deficits and aggregate national debt no longer matter much. Prior presidents ran up huge annual deficits, but at least there were some concessions that the money was real and had to be paid back. Not now. As we near $30 trillion in national debt and 110 percent of annual GDP, our elites either believe permanent zero interest rates make the cascading obligation irrelevant, or the larger the debt, the more likely we will be forced to address needed income redistribution. 2) Laws are not necessarily binding

In fact, a Washington Post analysis found that the bill earmarks $650 billion for those kinds of projects. But again, that’s just $650 billion out of $2.2 trillion.
