Cancelled! Harry’s Shaves Off Michael Knowles

Shaving company Harry’s appears to have taken the complaints of a Twitter user with only two followers seriously when shaving off its professional relationship with a conservative personality. A Twitter account named Avi Das (@flyingsodacan1) — created in December 2020 — trigger-tweeted at Harry’s whining about its sponsorship of The Daily Wire host Michael Knowles. The account bleated, “@harrys is sponsoring Michael Knowles. The same @michaeljknowles who is spreading homophobic and transphobic content. He had Joesph [sic] Nicolosi jr as a guest

A high school kid, possibly black because of unique word usage, wanting to gain significance in his dribbly little life, successfully persuaded a large corporation to capitulate to social blackmail, having only two followers. Why so much fear? No huevos aqui! It’s a shame, I liked the shaver.

I have been using Bic and Schick 'disposable' razors bought in 12 packages for decades. Started with Edge gel, an after trying many other shaving cream approaches, including using a mug and brush for a decade, I am back to Edge gel. I shower before I shave, and make sure the shaving cream has time to soften my beard, and the 'disposable' razors last so long that I lose track....at least a couple of weeks to a month before they start getting dull. I think the shower softens my beard, as does the shaving cream, to the point that the blades are dulled far less, and I get a better shave. The long razor life is a nice side benefit. Schick or Bic haven't gotten involved in politics, so I still buy their products, and with Schick, it has been about 50+ years of using their products. I hope they keep their yaps shut on politics. Bic razors are about as good, but I use them when I can't find Schick at a good price, like a 12 pack for under $20. Even if each razor cost $2, (it's usually less) if it lasts 3 or 4 weeks (seems like it's more) that's a few cents a day for perfectly good shaves. No interest in shave clubs, especially if they have lefty politics.

Such weaklings. Such cowards. Such spineless ninnies. Time to answer the cranks with strength of purpose and confidence in Liberty. I was in Bed & Bath the other day. The "My Pillow" pillows were nowhere to be found. SO they followed through on their cowardly cave. So i, as a loyal customer many years, will end my patronage, and seal it with a call or an email. Even during the riots, rampages and looting and fires companies were crumpling under the blm threats, handing over millions, including from Brooks Brothers which has been undergoing bankruptcy! Caving to bullies, surrendering to those who would grind to dust the remains of your business after the pillaging.

I'm not buying the line that this was "someone with 2 followers" who provoked them into action. I am WILLING to be that some "woke" executive at Harry's set up the whole thing b/c they don't like Michael Knowles and/or Daily Wire and they didn't want Harry's to spend its advertising dollars with them. Step 1: Create a fake account (get at least 2 people to follow it so it looks like an account) Step 2: Send the tweet lamenting all the *gasp* homophobia (even though it was really about someone comparing transgender mental health to schizophrenics) - As an aside, I know schizophrenics and they are not as crazy as transgenders -- not even close. Step 3: Harry's promptly tweets back in "faux" disgust at the "beliefs" shared in the video on the Michael Knowles show and vows to pull their marketing dollars Step 4: Objective achieved -- except now the idiots have to wait for the backlash -- and it will come b/c they advertise on a lot of conservative media outlets.

Hey Harry's, the conservatives who listen to Michael Knowles are probably clean shaven and might possibly use a Harry's razor. Have you ever seen some of the young liberals? Most have the fashionable long scruffy beards and look like unkept cavemen. They probably don't know what a Harry's razor is. This was a foolish move by some uninformed coward at Harry's who failed to look at their demographics. Harry's probably shot themselves in the foot more by cancelling the ads than if they had left them running.

Why Wind and Solar Energy Are Doomed to Failure 40 replies

Wind and solar energy are both essentially obsolete technologies. There is a reason why only the very rich or the very adventurous sail across oceans: the wind is unreliable, and at best produces relatively little energy. Nevertheless, liberals have concocted fantasies whereby all of our electricity, or perhaps our entire economy, will be powered by those fickle sources. There are a number of reasons why this will never happen, but a paper published last week by Center of the American Experiment argues that land use constraints are the most basic reason why wind and solar are inexorably destined to fail. The paper, titled Not In Our Backyard, is authored by

There is no nation on earth more generous than the United States of America. We supply half of all food aid around the world, feeding an estimated 600 million people. We rush aid to people hit by natural disasters, sending ships of war, experts, and, of course, billions in cash. Even a bitter enemy like North Korea, which receives substantial food aid from the U.S., gets help when the calls go out. No other nation comes close to matching the generosity of the American people or its government to help those less fortunate. So why all the bitching about the United States wanting to vaccinate its own people first

Joe Biden is not a stupid man. He may believe crazy stuff but he certainly knows that raising taxes on the most productive members of society and their capital will choke off economic growth as the nation emerges from its self-inflicted, pandemic economic wounds. With less growth and fewer jobs, Biden is fully aware of what his policies will do. But looking at the politics of Biden’s situation, you can see why he doesn’t feel he has a choice. Unless Republicans shoot themselves in the foot, they are bound to win back at least one house of Congress. That telescopes Biden’s time to make good on the trillions of dollars in promises

It has been nothing less than a consistent failure with all of the various business entities which rose up in protest of the Georgia election law.

One member of that crowd, Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed woman and a veteran, was shot by the Capitol Police. The next day, Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died in the hospital. On Jan. 8, The New York Times reported that Officer Sicknick had died after being struck in the head with a fire extinguisher by violent Trump supporters. This story was quickly repeated by numerous other media outlets. Millions believed it. The story was false. Sicknick died of two strokes, which occurred many hours after the invasion of the Capitol.
The COVID-19 Disaster That Did Not Happen in Texas 5 replies

When Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, lifted his statewide face mask mandate and his limits on business occupancy in early March, Democrats warned that he was inviting a public health disaster. Yet a month and a half later, newly identified coronavirus cases in Texas have fallen by more than 50 percent, and daily deaths have dropped even more. Meanwhile, states with stricter COVID-19 regulations have seen spikes in daily new cases. This is not the pattern you would expect to see if government-imposed restrictions played a crucial role in curtailing the pandemic, as advocates of those policies assume. Abbott's critics did not mince words.

James rushed to conclusions about the shooting of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant, a black girl who appears to have been lunging at someone with a deadly knife when the cop shot her. James later took down the tweet, but he claimed that this shooting represents yet more evidence of systemic racism. President Donald Trump took him to task on Thursday night. “LeBron James should focus on basketball rather than presiding over the destruction of the NBA, which has just recorded the lowest

The pair accused such outlets of “journalistic malpractice” because they weren’t being honest (an ironic notion given who was flinging it). A Minnesota jury has found former police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. This means they claim to have concluded that they unanimously believe beyond a reasonable doubt that Chauvin caused Floyd’s death. Given the circumstances of the trial, however, it’s extremely hard to believe the jury was solely concerned with either truth or justice. It’s extremely hard, if not impossible, for any thinking person not to have a reasonable doubt about the outcome. We know the judge in the case refused to sequester jurors from media coverage and outside influences during the trial, and that the pressure conveyed to them was beyond intense.

n the debate over whether one should or should not get the COVID vaccination, much has been said about the “science.” However, I’m not sure any encyclopedic knowledge of “science” is required to make this health decision. Simple statistical analysis should suffice to inform one’s ultimate decision. Statistics is primarily a study of probabilities. Fortunately, as regards COVID mortality rates, these probabilities are now known. That is, COVID mortality statistics broken down by age cohorts are now “known knowables.” For example, through statistics as of April 7, the odds an American under the age of 25 would die from COVID were 1-in-106,217.

It’s inappropriate when you’re speaking to a crowd and you’re the only one who laughs. Of course, that can also happen to a bad comedian, but there’s no indication in the clip below that Kamala was trying to tell a joke.
